Other way around. Thanks for why you have done here, but come on with the self righteous stuff???? We don’t owe you squat as you are probably overpaid to begin with.

I think it goes both ways. Clemson made him and he made Clemson football successful. He’s been paid very well and is currently overpaid

College football then you are over paid. I don't care how much you win.
But there are some desperate fans out there willing to pay whatever.

Most coaches and players today on every level of every sport are probably overpaid.

Clemson gave him a shot; they did not make Dabo. He made good on the chance and made Clemson nationally relevant and won multiple championships. Dabo built what Clemson is now, it's his job to keep it on an elite level which he has failed to do the last few years.
As to his salary. Check with the BOT and see the return Clemson has received on the 11 million dollar a year salary.
Some of you just come on here and type up your ridiculous thoughts and it should embarrass you.

I would say that about our basketball program, but not our football program.

Clemson provided the opportunity, but Dabo took it and ran with it.
I'm not sure who could have duplicated his success.

I would say it was a mutually beneficial relationship
I bet he is disappointed in the start this season
As crappy as we have played and coached - makes it worse - LSU and GT were very winnable games for this roster
we need to have a sense of urgency and light a fire in the offseason for a change regardless of how this season plays out
seems like we are often just “going through the motions”

Between the end of the 1991 season, after which HC Ken Hatfield ran out of Danny Ford’s players, and 2008 season, during which Tommy Bowden got fired mud-season, Clemson had one (1) season of 9 wins … bowl game included. That’s 17 consecutive seasons of less than 9 wins (except for 2003 sesson, when we did squeeze out 9 wins).
This tells everybody that Clemson had a semi-good FB program before, miraculously, Dabo got promoted to HC.
Back to your question.
No, Dabo didn’t make Clemson. He transformed Clemson from being a mediocre program to a top shelf FB program.
Clemson ‘made’ Dabo in that no other major college FB program would have given him their HC job, given Dabo’s role under Tommy Bowden as an ace recruiter clothed in WR coach garb.
(*). At this point in time, both Clemson and Dabo have extraordinary appreciation for each other. Thank goodness that the difference makers at Clemson are calling the shots instead of us on TNet.
