Looking ahead into Florida for the Supers...What to expect...

This Florida team is very unique and very different then what we have faced this season. They are simply built and rely heavily on power. That is their MO and thats the name of their game. 7 of their 9 starters have double digit HRs and they are led of course by Jac Caglianone (31) who is arguably the best player in the country. He leads the team in average at .410 and the next closest is Ty Evans at .319. Those are the only two players hitting over .300 in this lineup so its obvious hitting for average is not their strength. Also, they are very aggressive and do not like to draw walks so they have struck out a ton and they will strike out some this weekend if you allow them to. They do not steal bases often so keeping them in check should be a low concern.
Pitching wise...To be blunt....They're awful...They are led by starter and likely game 1 starter Jac Caglianone who is a high velocity guy that will gather some Ks but he is also capable of walking a ton. He sports an ERA of just north of 4.5 but again, he has a big arm and can hit 99 to 100 on that fastball. He will work in a cutter that drops to 88 mph and a devastating slider that if its working its really unfair for LHs. Clemson will need to be able to eliminate a pitch or two to sit on that fast ball because he can get it up when he needs to. I will repeat again though, HE WILL WALK YOU. Its important for the guys to be patient and work the count.
They have some high velocity arms in the pen that will walk you...They're pitching has been their achilles heel all season long and quite frankly they have not been very good.
So how does Clemson win....The obvious strategy here from Coach B will be to not let Caglianone beat you. If you have not got a chance to watch this kid play, he is an absolute treat to those who love baseball. He just flat out rakes and can hit the ball out of the park in any direction. The ball is just different coming off his bat and he is really a special player.
Clemson must neutralize the power bats and the UF hitters to chase bad pitches becuase they absolutely will. Its an almost certainty that Knaack will go game one and with a win, all hands on deck for game 2. Should be a pretty good series this weekend.

Respectfully disagree Skipper has not changed all year and he certainly isn't going to change now with the stakes are much higher he will commit to Tristan and win or lose its the right call
