I coached a highschool basketball team for a few years, but I did not go to school there. So I guess that means I was not a real fan of the team I coached.

I would say, No. It looks disrespectful to our Veterans who are present, and who might be watching. And I agree, it would be a distraction to our team. It's a football game, not a political rally.

'just an example of that.. Military Appreciation Day. Our young men and women, being sworn in...and came to the phrase about "obeying the orders of the President"....the murmuring in the crowd was disrespect to those being sworn in at that time. BAD... REALLY BAD....IMHO.
BE ABOVE that lack of respect. Again, it's a football game,
not a political rally. Remember, you asked for opinions...

I am an alumni, as well as a veteran. I understand that by taking the oath of service in a public setting, you are somewhat at the mercy of the crowd, however, having taken that oath twice in my life, I was incredibly dissappointed in everyone who boo'd. I understand this is a free country and everyone has a right to say what they please; but that oath means more to those kids than those of you who have never taken in will ever understand. Just take a second to think first next time if it's the right time.
