Why is it when the baseball team makes all kinds of errors and gives away games to SC......well, it's totally Jack's fault? However, when the football team gives the game away to SC with six turnovers......it's not Dabo's fault, it's the players. Just wondering what is the difference?

Thanks Mr. Cupton, I agree with you! Some folks are blaming Jack for fielding errors made by kids who don't usually make those kinds of errors, but did tonight. Coach Leggett is a very good, well-respected coach, and has a team this year VERY capable of reaching, and winning, the CWS. Several future major leaguers playing as young Tigers this weekend!

it's called excuses and justification. if it is jacks fault or the players, the end result is the same, you can NOT win games making mistakes. but the bottom line is some have trouble admitting that right now both of the coot football and baseball programs are better than ours. the talent level is up for debate but the coaching is not. hate to admit it but it is true.

This team has a mental block vs scar, and baseball is 90% mental. Does Jack coach mental game? What in the world is Pep's pitching philosophy with 6-1 lead. Throwing breaking balls in the dirt in 0-0 and 2-1, 3-1 counts...that's just bad coaching OR the players are scared.
It's 6-1 runners on 2nd and 3rd and next 3 batters k, gossett comes out and issues leadoff walk...we gave all the momentum away as soon as we got it. It's almost like we didn't want to step on their throat. D1 ball players have to put the ball in play with runners in scoring position. And changing pitchers 8 or 9 times, man, I watched a team tighten up then #### their pants up 6-1 with the best pitcher in the series on the mound.
And btw for the house coot that bang bang play at 1st, he was safe.

Hit on 3rd base line. I sat on the 1st base side. I did think the plate ump was erratic with his k zone.

The beat reporters rarely have to do much work with this series, just change the name of the players who committed the errors. At what point do you start to realize that this has happened with so many different lineups it can't all be on the players?

not sure how you are getting 8 unearned runs... pretty sure there were only 2. The 4 errors were ridiculous though... can't expect to win many games with that many errors regardless of who we play
