Stadium prices

$4 for a bottle of water inside the stadium is ridiculous. You can buy a case of Dasani water (which is what we sell @ Clemson) @ Wal-Mart for $6 A CASE. That is 25 cents a bottle. On days when it is so hot they shouldn't gouge you for a bottle of water. If they want to charge higher prices for food or other beverages, fine but water shouldn't be so high.
I was disappointed in size of the crowd yesterday. We are #3 in the Country and had a noticeably less than full stadium. But the price of attending the games combined with the fact every game is on TV will continue to lead to disappointing crowds. They are pricing the average family of 4 out.

The water fountains are not cooled, and water trickles out.
The prices are absolutely ridiculous.
I bought a case of Dasani at Walmart one Saturday before a game for $3.99. That's 24 bottles for less than the price of one at the Valley.
A small fountain drink for $4 is also rape.

My point (and the point of other posters) is that there are other sources of water available without paying the $4 a bottle price.

Sorry friend, but no sympathy here. Water is free at the river.so why should Wal-Mart charge $.25 for it. You do not pay for the water. I've never seen a top 10 team play a game at Wal- Mart. The high yesterday was 81. So unless you were playing in the game, or were significantly dehydrated when you arrived , it was a comfort issue not a health issue.

Ref crowd size - gotta remember it was fall break and a lot of the student body went home....Personally I attended the football games during fall break when I was a Clemson student but I only had to travel from Spartanburg...

Whoever would schedule a Fall Break on a home football game date should be fired.
That is just idiotic.

Take a bottle of water in with you. Or two! If you want it to be cold the whole game freeze it before you take it in. Make sure it hasn't been opened and they won't prevent you from bringing it in

is also available at the first aid stations.
But, if you have $50 to spend per ticket and who knows what on tailgating, go ahead and begrudge a high school or church group from making a little pittance. The University sets the prices for most concessions, and gets the biggest cut.

were sitting. The cups were small, but it was free. I also always buy about 20 buck worth of stuff from the concession stand as well to help them out.
Food and drinks at any game are going to be higher than Walmart. If you don't want to pay the prices, then don't go buy it... simple. I don't think they are going to lower prices just because you're on a message board crying about it.

And have for years now. No one is holding you at gunpoint to buy it.
And, don't forget ... some of that concession money goes to the group who is manning the concession windows. Don't know what percentage, though.

part of my point is on hot days it can be a health issue. Didn't know you could bring in an unsealed water so that is what we'll do from now on.. I don't begrudge the groups making money but $4 for a 25 cent bottle of water is ridiculous.

I agree with you on the price of water.
Most others responding agree with you also and that's the reason they bring their own or drink out of the fountains.

My daughter and I each bring in an unopened one liter bottle of water. Many of the snacks are three bucks which isn't bad considering you are helping out some kids fundraising effort. That's what we do and it works for us.

Choices are available but to gouge thirsty fans for a bottle of water is downright inhuman. That's like paying $355.00 for a gallon of gas?

I would pay 10 bucks for a water to see Clemson play....But of Course, like others, if I don't want to pay for the convenience of paying inside, I'll bring my own.
Don't ever go to a Circle K or 7-11 again...
don't ever buy a fund raiser gift from some kid in school or scouts.....
Just go to SAM's, buy in bulk and be cheap......
