about the injuries affecting depth:
It's the coaches job to make sure there is quality depth. And for 11 mill a year, there's really no excuse for what we witnessed at Pitt last week with the O line and with allowing an obviously severely injured RB to play without a breather.

We effing tried that with several O-linemen this past off-season and they all pa$$ed on us. These kids want bunches of money upfront and we can't or won't pay them before they're in the program and working hard.

Yeah, well, time to level our OWN playing field with others. Do what they do to get them, or... suffer.
Make the choice. We have the resources - have been top 15 or 20 all season in NIL money available.

There is a limit to the number of players that can travel. Of course, if in you brilliance you c know who is going to get injured you can tell the coaches and they can take the needed subs!!!

I blame Batson, injuries happen but a good S&C program can lessen their impacts. S&C was propped up by player self accountability/ fear of BV and needs to improve now that BV is gone. Boulware getting a more prominent role in the S&C program could be a good solution

Offensive line. You will see that Americas most expensive College payroll ($20 million roster at Ohio State) and they have an o-line depth problem due to injury.

Let's just cherry pick 1 example and 1 certain position affected by in-season factors.
Disagree with you on average.
1 data point is NOT good enough. There are enough data points to the contrary.
Have you looked at their other position groups that were bolstered by additions???? Guessing not.

2024 has had the most game-missing OL injuries for any of his seasons as HC.
Sometimes, high injury totals accumulate in one position group. This is that year for OL players.
We’ve lost two games this year.
How horrible.

...level the playing field with the others. That's on us. We won't promise up front - well - we have the resources. IMO, we should reserve a certain amount for at least a few key positions that will inevitably be needed to plug up some leaky holes in our lineup. With everyone else plugging up their holes, and us not, we are putting ourselves at a disadvantage, and looks like we're the only 1 in FBS. Inexcusable.
