Its funny to see MAGA pretend to be happy about

Trump’s tariffs and the ensuing market collapse. Their 401ks are going up in flames, but their worship of Trump prevents them from saying negative about him or his tariff debacle.

A good number of them probably don’t have any investments so it doesn’t matter to them. They do need to be concerned about their egg prices going even higher!

The middle class MAGA are hopeful. Our 401k's have been stagnant for years while costs have continued to rise. For me personally, seeing the talking heads on MSNBC, CNN and Wall Street bigwigs freaking out gives me hope because them being giddy and happy never did me any favors. I lived through trickle down economics that never trickled. The housing boom and the housing bust. The 9/11 stock market crashes. The covid "recession" and Bidenomics. I always ended up taking a few steps back but then busting further ahead than ever after.
I've been smart enough to bob and weave through the bad times and come out on top for me. Maybe not always keeping up with the Jones's, but always keeping my kids bellies full and their beds warm. I DO NOT like everything that Trump is doing, but I didn't like anything Harris was bringing to the table. The democratic party is lost. It's that simple. They have no leader. They have no alpha. They are a party of betas that wants everybody else to come down to their level. That doesn't fly with me or my generation. It might be what this country becomes in the future when post Y2K babies that were never disciplined become the majority and take over, but for now it won't work.
Until the bottom drops out, which it hasn't, I'm keeping my head up and marching on. I'll leave the bitching and crying with the rest of you guys on all sides. TBH, I've been buying Eggland's Best eggs at Sam's for years. $6 for 2 dozen has been the price for the longest time. It was $8 for 2 dozen a few days ago, so yeah, they've gone up, but that number doesn't hurt me at all. Soda prices are the big head scratcher for me. $3.50 for a 2 liter coke??? I remember my neighborhood gas station was selling those for 99 cents in 2010.

And the bigger the stuff, the more wrong he will be. Ended DEI great. Ends pronouns. Fine. No more guys in girls sports. Fine. He gains massive levels of support doing the little things right. Then he will turn around and crap the bed when it comes to the economy. Tariffs, cutting spending in a haphazard way. His tariffs aren't even reciprocal. They're simply measured by the level of trade deficit.
He's about to start his first war, it will be Iran. He will need some excuse better than keeping the Suez open. Like they mentioned only 4% of our trade goes through it. America first says that's not important. But Iran hasn't given him much else. He will come up with something.
This is a very old playbook. So old most today don't recognize it. Guess that makes it new again.

I don’t think Trump will start a war with Iran. He said yesterday when Netanyahu visited that Iran had agreed to high level talks and that he didn’t want a war. The look on Netanyahus face was priceless. That ####### has been pushing for war with Iran for 20+ years. I don’t think Trump will go for it.

Why has your 401k been stagnant for year? SP500 went up 55% under Biden alone.

If all of this continues on this path, you're most certainly going to hurt. And there's something to be said for statements that equate to, "Well, I'll be okay!" when millions around you are going to be harmed by such stupid economic moves.
But eventually, it'll come back on you as well.

More concerning is the bond market.

They are not behaving as they should. Either hedge funds are cashing in basis trades, or foreign investors are selling. Or both. But yields are shooting up in the 30yr at abnormal rates.

2008-2009, then again during COVID, then again 2022, and then again it's now.
Do I like it? No.
But I still have time on my side so my risks match my reward, which right now sucks. It's a buying opportunity.
I'm hopeful that 70+ countries are negotiating tariffs with the US. In my hopeful opinion, this is a short term issue (3-6 months) and then we move beyond it. The market has already shown what will happen when the tariff talks are over with a ±2,000 pt yo-yo in one day.

Their silence on this board is the biggest indicator...

That they're admitting this is a colossal disaster. Keowee has tried to keep his snark alive, but even he's admitted there's a problem. You can see the worry between the lines of his dumb quips.
Others have failed miserably trying to deflect to other issues, like NC_Tiger and Rangers. Crash is Crash because he's too dumb to math. NC and Budget NC_Tiger have mostly fallen silent, though. And Bill is just Bill.
Where's McMuffin? RTD? Manac? Bengal? Elwyn? The whole host of MAGA clowns on this board who wept daily about trans people and immigrants?
They know Trump has absolutely ###### the poodle and has probably cost the GOP dearly, but they can't bring themselves to admit they were wrong about him.

You know what's really pathetic? It's someone who gets on Tnet day after day, trying to make himself sound intelligent by constantly whining and crying about things he has no control over and, calling others fools and clowns because they may have differing opinions. That's truly pathetic. Just remember this fact. You will change nothing. And that fact is burning you a new a$$, and you can't stand it.
