They do not realize how good they have got it. They have got one of the best ADs in the country and they have the best group of coaches in the country. No school in the country has a better set of coaches in the major sports -- football, men's basketball, and baseball. Do not hate. Appreciate.

Apparently, you didn't read the article. As a whole, Clemson is premier. One season of football doesn't mean we're sunk.

When reading between lines it’s easy to come to the wrong conclusion based on personal viewpoints. What do you think is the message here? I can see a couple of meanings. For example…”commitment to competitive excellence” can mean a move to P2. And “build build upon our brand NATIONALLY “ suggests a national conference like the Big10.

Cheer for and enjoy! Baseball Basketball and Soccer had awesome years and was a ton of fun (till the supers which I'm still pissed about) New programs gymnastics and lacrosse hit the scene and immediately became nationally relevant and then Softball doing softball being great getting so close again...keep at it girls it'll come! Yes it's a great time to be a Tiger.

IS that FB pays all the bills and that FB must be real healthy to float all boats. And in that respect thats all matters most. At least thats the way I read it....dont think he's implying he coudl care less abt BB or baseball (or other) programs

Agree. Nike can come back and defend that statement if he'd like. But I think JR has a point and I do agree with Nike if what JR says is true.
It's not Neff, although I think we do have one of the best ever. We do have the best collection of coaches. As valley pointed out, I'm most proud of our academic success and feel everyone should be. That is the bottom line.
Imo, a lot of what he said has only been made possible by Dabo. Dabo brought new strategies and optimism that permeates throughout athletics... not the other way around. The ONLY reason Clemson is a national brand is because of Dabo's achievements.
You could spin these same stats in a different way. That's what stats do. Take away the soccer natty and men's bball and it's not as glowing. Perhaps the opposite. The only thing you can't spin is our academic achievements. We should promote that.
As for money, hasn't hurt us yet but it will if we continue status quo.

23-24 was a great year across the board and was one that will be hard to beat and hard for other schools to compare with. The best thing I read was the academic success the athletes had and that is certainly something to be exceptionally proud of.
