The pressure is all on UGA in this upcoming game.

As massive favorites for our game plus championship assumptions with their top-rated, no holes anywhere roster, and most only believing our best chance is simply keeping it close - this is really setting up as a classic upset in the making.
Pretty much everyone is of the impression that even with a big loss that Clemson still has a solid path to the CFP via the rest of our schedule and potential ACCCG victory. UGA on the other hand can't afford to come out of our game with a loss as that would wipe the mystique off their squad ahead of SEC play. They no longer have only the soft SEC Least to contend with through the season - it's now a massive free for all with it being anybody's for the taking.
With so much off-the-field shenanigans and heaps of rat poison that the media has been feeding UGA, don't be surprised if they come out expecting a cakewalk, then once they're punched in the mouth the pressure will kick in. I can easily see the wheels coming off this juggernaut right out of the gate. And make no mistake - Dabo will be Dabo regardless of the outcome. He's put up with plenty of naysayers from his first day on the job - a Loss isn't going to send him or any of us into a tailspin, it would just be a loss that almost everyone expects with little bearing on what lies ahead.

Agreed, and very rarely have they played from behind over the last few years. We need them chasing us out of the gate.

Hopefully Kirby doesn't see and read this to his team. Might make them nervous.

I believe your assumption that UGA players can't read on their own is likely spot on.

That reminds me of oldie but goodie.
I heard Kirby is only dressing 60 players for the Clemson game; the rest can dress themselves.

No doubt about it. Besides, "just b/c their patch on their jersey and afiliation with the sorry excuse conference" gives them an advantage.
Clemson should just be happy to stay on the field with them ( Rolling My Eyes ).
Clemson goes in and represents itself well but doesn't win - then goes on to dominate the rest of it's schedule. Clemson wins.
Clemson wins of course, then goes on to dominate their schedule. Clemson wins big time.
Clemson gets blown out. Then dominates it's remaining schedule - "it gets iffy"! The respect for the ACC is not good to say it mildly.
Personally, I am not willing to give Georgia the win before the game starts. By recruiting services they have better talent. Deeper and have had more success recently. But, Clemson isn't Purdue either. And has championship DNA to it's name and has a roster most schools would love to have.
I seem to recall Georgia winning a National Championship but having to struggle to beat Clemson. Mind you; they were smoking SEC opponents; but needed a Pick 6 to do the Tigers in. Not saying that will be the case this time; only saying: they were a heavy favorite that game as well!

That sounds about right. And DJU was a pre-season Heisman favorite to boot. Man that went south fast.

They should feel little to no pressure...Truth is, we don't have the QB or the personnel up front to compete with UGA...With the incompetency of the OL and the lack of skills from QB we will most likely lose and lose big.
Klubnik is not a good QB...period.

How many points are you giving to Clemson in case someone wants to take the bet? Could be a lot if you pick Georgia by a massive lot of points.

What I thought from the first several posters was we must have a new quarterback, but you’re saying we still have Cade. No way we beat UGa.

Be willing to say a fair amount of Georgia fans are talking with each other or under the breath wishing they could have opened against say Lagrange College. Just sayin

Not this one fan, nor any that I know. In the 8 openers under Kirby, we've opened with UNC, Clemson, Oregon, two SEC teams, a G5 team and two creampuffs. I prefer the big games by a long shot. Kirby's record in openers is pretty good to boot.

That's true!
But, you are also forgetting, "they called that Alabama team's offense the greatest in CFB history"! Obviously, "pre-LSU with Joe Burrow and 12 NFL caliber WR's, TE's and 1 RB along with a creative OC came along! Still, Clemson had a chance in that game in the 4th qtr, in fact!
Georgia might smoke CU; but you can't overlook 1st games. And new starters.
Or the fact, Georgia is favored and is supposed to win. Clemson can just go play ball since they are the overwhelming underdog. Dabo has done very well for himself in that role(not perfect - but very well).

If Clemson's defense gets some early stops, and Klubnik can just manage the game instead of trying to win it all on one or two plays, they've got a good chance to keep it uncomfortably close for UGA or maybe even sneak out of there with the dub.
In either scenario, Clemson leaves ATL looking like a Top-10 program, especially if they turn around and hang a big number on App the next week.

Exactly!
The more things change in CFB the more they stay the same. It may as well be the era of college football where they voted on the National Champion. And teams never played on the field when it comes to.
"Perception is reality" and winning the perception battle is as important as it ever was. The Sorry Excuse Conference teams with Losses always use the: "I only lost to X-team in a close game; so I must be better than the rest of you who didn't have to play them"!
Keep it close even and it's a "perception win" for Clemson 100%. Many other teams in the SEC are going to get smoked by Georgia; just like they did in 2021 or 22 - whatever year that was they needed the pick 6 from DJU to beat us.

Dabo not using the transfer portal and that his approach isn't working.
UGA, rightfully, should have lots of confidence coming off and they are probably pissed off that they didn't make the CFP last season.

Not saying you are wrong to have that view. But, in the sports world we live in Georgia has the higher "expectations"!
People have "already written the book on Dabo" in error.
I had a known Shamecock fan tell me Clemson doesn't believe in NIL and such nonsense. Then I shared the link to the top 10 schools in NIL dollars and asked him if he wanted water with that crow.
They say the man doesn't use the portal and a bunch of other things; "out of ignorance"! They might try that nonsense: "but, I think they have beaten that topic into soft-headed groupy fans heads to death already"! The most you might get is; well see.
I mean, FSU was the best and is the current best in using the portal, right. Yet, LSU the last two seasons was still favored(b/c their patch indicates SEC).
Georgia having the most recent success - makes them a clear favorite and rightfully so! No pressure on Clemson at all.

era that would make me thing we suddenly can compete with a team like uga. the game will likely be very ugly on the losing end for us. at the end of the day talent and depth has to count for something. and that is something uga and every other elite team dwarfs us with these days

So, based on that, are you saying if a team(forget the name for a second) doesn't have comparable talent then they basically have no shot?
I seem to recall 2016 only having the 13th best cumulative class versus Alabama's #1 cumulative class and whipping that tail. A healthy Mike Williams in 2015 and we beat their butts twice(plus they needed an onside kick against our cumulative #14 class that year).
