man, I wish I would have had his wisdom at that age. We don't grow spiritually or emotionally during the easy times when everything is going our way.

So what does that mean exactly? God "showing you what he wants to show you." Curious to hear people's thoughts.

I thought it was pretty clear. Maybe I'm wrong.

He seems to understand the truth that God reveals his plans to us as He chooses, not always in line with what we believe we want. We are most receptive when we are uncertain or vulnerable and then we tend to lean into God more closely. If life always gave us what we asked for, we would be limited in our growth and our faith. I’m always impressed by Renfrow’s maturity for his age and the culture Dabo creates in the program.

Wolfman2 this is what I believe he meant. Tiger10 summed it up pretty well...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. God's plan is always greater than our plan. God's plan for us might not always align with our own plan. I believe that God has chosen sovereignly to give us choice and related responsibility. Ultimately He is in control, but within the context of that control, He has granted us freedom to act. He is sovereign, we are responsible.
Renfrow is expressing the way that difficulties and stresses are often the means to development and growth. In the same way that an athlete is conditioned for better performance through carefully monitored training, Renfrow is granted the chance by God to mature through the difficult aspect of the divine will. Paul wrote, we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. (Rom. 5-4)
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever” (Deut. 29:29).
We don’t know all God knows. We will never know this side of eternity what God doesn’t reveal; but we do know what He has told us, and we must steadfastly(my word for it) hold on to that.
Most of the time God’s will and yours don’t see eye to eye, and before you get horribly bent out of shape, remind yourself that you don’t know all the circumstances so you can’t make a definitive assessment of the situation as to whether it is ultimately good or bad. Then remember that God claims His will is “good, acceptable and perfect.
Renfrow and his wife’s character & and will to make every situation honor God through faith and perseverance is a light(salt) wherever they may be with Gods help.

God Bless you Humble Servant. Praise HIM. Hunter’s relationship with his Lord and Savior is on solid rock. Hunter is a bright light in dark places. And his journey is just getting started. The Lord placed him with the Raiders for a reason. Wait for it.

Solomon put it this way in Proverbs. Chapter 16, verse 9 says "People plan their path, but the LORD secures their steps." (CEB)
We think we know what is best for our lives. God knows what is best.

LV is called Clemson West. With the new system Hunter's numbers will only get better. At least Hunter doesn't have to facemask for TD.

This does not say much for his college education if he did not know where Oakland was located.

Oakland was. So that says he learned at least one thing about geography at Clemson. I hope some of us learn to read before college.

clover65®, it doesn't appear that trk1's problem is the ability read.
Rather, he is too lazy to read.
Big difference.
