Ray-Ray McCloud III

Is this the most underrated Clemson receiver in the last 10 years or so? He looks even faster than he was at Clemson, and he was an incredible WR for us.
Never had the height, but everything else more than makes up for it.
And now the point of the post, do y’all expect him to make some noise around the league soon? The great thing for him is NFL teams are actually really looking for shorter receivers that are more agile and quick. Deebo Samuel was a coot, but he’s just fanatastic. Ray-Ray fits that 49er offense just as well as Samuel and Aiyuk.

Can you just use your brain for once instead of reverting to calling me a coot?
Yes NFL teams still look for taller WR too. But look at the Chiefs. They don’t have a single WR that is like Mike Williams on their team. It’s all smaller utility guys that fit the scheme.
There are some teams who utilize shorter receivers and some teams that utilize taller receivers.
Did I clear it up for you idiot?

who's an athletic freak and is huge. If Kelce ever goes elsewhere that scheme will no longer be to have a bunch of small guys. They're just there to fill out a squad and not cost too much.

Too many fumbles.
It's why he keeps getting released by teams.
Incredibly skilled but it seems like every time I watch him he puts the ball on the ground.

With his small frame it's probably physically impossible to

secure the ball 100%. He's just not that big and can't absorb the contact like a larger framed player can. I was always afraid of that when he had the ball. If he ever got hit hard the ball was coming out. MAybe he's learned how to get down more efficiently like Hunter would do.

Yeps, worst attribute is wingspan for a diminutive player...

it's difficult to put the ball away at 5'8ish" when your wingspan is that of a 6'1" person - poor fit when you're as lean as RRM.
It lends itself greatly to him being a high risk, high reward guy. If he gets down, does that take away from the half of the equation that's kept him in the NFL?
One of the best skill guys Clemson has had since Spiller; it was a shame he and Cain were "tethered" to KB2 for their final seasons.

He’s lost 1 fumble each of the 5 years in the league

The only game they lost of those 5 was his rookie season. Deshaun Watson hit Hopkins for a TD to cap a 29 yd drive after that fumble 1st quarter. Pick 6 late in the game did them in. There are guys with much more of a propensity to fumble than him

Ray Ray and Deion Cain we’re too Hollywood. They were/are amazingly talented but didn’t want to fully buy in and relied on that talent instead of developing it.

I wish Ray Ray the best in the pros, but that punt return casual drop/fumble at the goal line against Troy makes me mad to this day! Not the type of showboating Dabo likes (and Dabo had a "discussion" with him afterwards). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBqb9oZLE08

The most underrated WR we have ever had is and will always be Artavis Scott...Period...Artavis laid the foundation at the slot for our program that allowed us to see guys like Renfrow and Amari.....We havent had a viable threat in the slot since Amari left...

You could line him up at slot WR, field WR, KR, PR or in the backfield and he would make plays.
