He will be gone in 2, maybe 3 years if drad is serious about returning this baseball team to the power they used to be.

I’ll disagree with you on that, I think he’s a good coach and a really good recruiter give him a couple more years but if it’s same ole same ole then that’s when I think we start looking for another guy but for rigjt now Monte is our guy

The hitting approach is taught by monte. That's not going to change. Which means you will see the same thing next year and the year after.
Either all the recruiting rankings are wrong or the young men are regressing when they get to Clemson

Monte has lost too many recruits to the draft

I know you want to get the best, but at the cost of losing the 'big fish', he has had to fall back on guys not at the top of his list. There are quite a few guys on this roster than aren't what we are accustomed to getting at Clemson. I'll let you figure out who you think fit into that catagory.

You literally just said what he said. He said in 2/3 years fire Monte if drad is serious. You said give him a couple more years and if it’s the same then look for another coach lol

A lot of fans wanted to get rid of Dabo when he has mediocre years and could not beat uofsc.

That's the same Frank Beamer argument.
And for every one of those, you can name 50 who should have been fired when they were. At that's across all sports.

I predict the moment will be too big for all but one team by season’s end.

+1, FM... the team with most luck wins, that's Baseball. Unless we're dealing with the Yankees, of course, then the best team wins.
And Go Tighers!!!

Super 2 of 4 years. Omaha 1 of 4. That's best case scenario for me.
But I would settle for improvement from year to year at this point or some hope that we are heading in the right direction.

Next year is Omaha or bust for me. We continually get dominated in playoff baseball. We cannot hit elite pitching. We havent had a dominant arm since gossett.

Inability to hit elite pitching isn't the problem. Most teams can't. Not having elite pitching IS the problem. We consistently have good but not great pitching. Until we do, we will always be good but not great. A new pitching coach is in order

Trying to play the what if game with guys who haven't done anything yet in there collegiate career is hard to do. Not their fault, just the fact that their young.
I love baseball and like to think i know a little about the game. Out of all the issues I've ever brought with the program, the one that bothers me the most is the lack of progression in our guys 4 year careers here. Sure there are some exceptions, but we just dont seem to have guys really make that jump from Fr. So. years to Jr. Sr. Years.
