Lotta reasons. It talked about Allen and Boulware yesterday. I think they represent a tremendous upgrade in the coching staff.

But, that's not the MAIN reason. I look at the DL.

I see Parker, Woods and Heldt. Don't know much about Heldt, but I gotta believe that Dabo and his staff know enough for me to believe he is a far better than average DE.

Dabo loves a 4 man front. ("Big beats little.") I envision a DL with Parker and Woods lined up next to each other. The OL has to be focused on stopping them. That means a TE on their side or the RB sliding to their side (or both). That would leave Heldt with 1 on 1 blocking most of the time. (You can't double team everybody. You have to leave someone 1-1. If Heldt is as good as I think he will be, then the DL is gonna be more than most teams can handle. And, as any DB coach can tell you the best friend a DB has is a good pass rush.

Anyway, lot of reasons to be optimistic about the defense. I just see the DL as reasn #1.
