How many walks from an 0-2 count? How many 0-2 hits? How many 2 out runs allowed? How many burned out pitchers? Our pitching staff, annually, starts strong then fades. Goes to coaching and how the kids are used.

The line score shows we are at 5 walks and 10 k's and Ville is 7 walks and 11 k's. Coaching in baseball is overrated so don't play a blame game. Players pitch, hit and field not coaches.

Lol, coaching is “overrated in baseball”. But I bet you give all the credit to Monte and staff if they win, right?
Let’s just save a few hundred thousand/year and not have any coaches. Let the boys go out there and play trash ball and see what happens. Couldn’t be any worse than what they have now, and maybe they could throw those stupid pitching beepers in the garbage can.

Yes, the entire baseball coaching staff has to go. However, Lee will pull a Brownell and do just enough to save his - a winning season which is technically an improvement from last season. Then Neff will write a letter which will fix the baseball program.

Exactly right. It’s predictable monte will go on some kind of run or win a few games and maybe make tournament and then neff will send that letter. Clemson doesn’t have leaders. They have followers. Not just athletics it’s academically as well. Clemson also doesn’t hire many people inside. These students who work and do great jobs would love jobs after graduating and they don’t get them. It seems like best is the standard is only for football only and everything else …oh well.

A friend I coach legion locally said he had a friend that coached and played at clemson under monte. His friend who was assistant said monte doesn’t develop players. It shows.

Beer was good but my gah he coulda been great. Didn’t develop. Same with grice etc. strider was good here but now look he has real coaches in majors and look where he is. Same with beer. It’s like college held them back. Hope will Taylor isnt this way and others.
