The fall fishing/football conundrum.

The bass are being caught on Hartwell and Saturday's looking to be a beaut of a day for fishing.
But there's NC State at noon in DV.
However, a noon kickoff pretty much cleaves the day in two. Makes fishing early or late a chancy proposition.
So, do you fish and just listen to the game, or do you go to the game and hope the bass are still biting the next week?
Not sure if this rises to the level of a moral debate, but it feels weighty nonetheless.

Youtubetv on your phone and fish while watching the game on your phone. Also use a Bluetooth speaker like a JBL charge so the sound is decent.

Clemson shouldn't have any problem with the Pack this year, enjoy a day of fishing.

You should be able to hear crowd well enough from the front deck of your bass boat to know how the game is going.

I have fished around the ### on Hartwell where I could see the stadium but more importantly hear the crowd while listening to the radio.

This one is easy...fish until noon, go watch the game and then go back fishing until dark! The bass will wait, I promise. I do this often.

Gonna start early, tie up, go get some vittels at noon, have a beer, watch the first half, then get back on 'em.
Thanks. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

I deal with this conundrum every fall, but since I can only afford a game or two a year in person I always go fishing and watch on my phone on the way home from fishing.

This is was what I did for years then after 28 years I got laid off and at 46 had to start over accumulating vacation time. I use to take 15 or so vacation days and fish now I get 5 days off for the year.

My conundrum was hunting or football. I solved it by retiring and now I go to games on Saturday and hunt during the week. Less idiots in the woods during the week too.

Ditch the flip phone. New phones let you watch football anywhere! On the water or in the field!

I just left it in sentry mode with the line attached to the front trunk. When I see a strike on my cell phone, I pop the trunk to set the hook, then roll the car into reverse to reel in my catch. To cast, I back up a little bit, accelerate, then throw on the breaks when i get to the shoreline.

who you're fishing with than what the two of you do. I'd rather fish with one or both of my sons than sit in box seats at the Valle without them.
We enjoy games together but frankly, the fellowship is much better when we're fishing. We pay more attention to each other than at a ball game.

Saves me 1000+ bucks and I learn something new every time i'm on the water. The fish bite so good this time of year its well worth watching it on the tube or on the phone if you have reception. IF i didn't have to pay $250 a ticket (not to mention all the other expenses involved) it might be tempting but the prices are just too ridiculous to even consider it.
