I would hate to lose it but the last few times I’ve been there appears to be no activity there.

If it could relocate to somewhere where it won't be hidden by other restauraunts, I'd say business could be booming.

a pizza , cookie and some other place under Earl
A Mexican restaurant at the bottom of Grand Marc
putting a mega expensive apartment complex there may be the best thing for POT Deli

Not exactly the same as this circumstance, but I think the US is going to see an outrageous amout of restaurant chains and individual owned restaurants fail over the next few years. People will just eat at home and maybe go out for a drink, if that. That's the new trend.

Exactly Greenville's had a number of locally owned places closing recently. One was announced tonight on the news that has been open for 50 years.

Where on earth did you get that information? You obviously haven’t tried to go out to eat recently. No such trend that I can see.

I agree, people are getting lazier and make their own meals even less now!

Tons of articles on it. People are eating out at sit down restaurants less. Top expensive. Restaurants are paying employees more, commercials leases are high, costs to the customers are passed on. Quality isnt up to snuff for what we get. Anyway. People are eating out less at your sitbdown dining restaurants.

Hannity was enjoying his lunch.
Their hours of operation don't jive with my hours. Still a great sandwich.

It’s getting out of hand with the high rise condos and off campus student apartment complexes in town. The town infrastructure just isn’t built for these type of projects. The things that made the town of Clemson special are being replaced with cookie cutter apartments with no character.

Yup, downtown is pretty much ruined with all of the apartments they have built.

Downtown should not be a place for apartments. It's ruining the place.

I'm hearing this may be the development that is finally breaking the camel's back and waking up the locals. Probably because of the added traffic and the fact that the town has a park on the lake rights there. If you care and want to add your thoughts council is hearing from the public at 5pm on Monday. If you can't make it, you can email them here: https://www.clemsoncity.org/CityGovernment/CityofClemsonCouncilMembers/tabid/319/Default.aspx
I grew up in Clemson and hope this is a wake up call for all those that love Clemson.
Some think its too late but there are still a lot of buildings on college avenue that could be torn down and replaced with high rise student housing. What's next? Judge Kellers?

It all seems to have started with Tom Winkopp. I don't see his name thrown around as much as it used to.

Kids don't want to live in dorms anymore. They want to live in luxury apartments with a Starbucks on the ground level.
