My father, Waldo Watts, passed. Played football at Clemson from 1969-72. Thereafter, he was the original Ticket master before Ticket master existed. For those of you who knew him, you know what I mean. He also started the Greenville Clemson Club Golf Tournament which grew into one of the bigger fundraisers for Iptay. Section E, Row SS will never be the same.
Rest In peace, big fella.

Sorry to hear. Sympathies sent as I recently lost a parent. He was a starting OL back when I was at Clemson. Some afternoons we would walk down and watch practice. I appreciate all he did for Clemson as a player and later in life.

We were teammates together at Clemson for a while, and I just saw him a few years ago at a game in Atlanta. Sorry to hear about guys close to my age passing away. Best to your family.

Austin, so sorry the hear the news about Waldo. Your Dad, Mom, my wife, and me were close friends and would vacation together at your beach house. I have fond memories of all of us out on the beach. You and my son would play for hours. Both of you were 4-5 YO. Our prayers are up for you and family. Tell your Mom that Terry & Debbie are with you in our prayers for all of you.

So sorry for your loss. I think I had at least 1 class with him. In spring of 1971(iirc) after the introduction of the Tiger Paw, the book store had a sale of the old purple & orange and orange & purple jerseys. By the time I got there the purple ones were gone but I got #99 and #71 orange jerseys. I have worn them to many games and thought of Waldo whenever I pulled out the #71. My oldest son, a 2015 grad, has also worn them to games as he grew up. I don't think these were ever game worn Jerseys. We will pull them out and wear #71 in his honor to a game or 2 next year.
