They clearly have higher standards for their leaders than Republicans. Unfortunately we have a large part of the population that is not only tolerant of Trump, they worship him. Democrats have their own bag of issues with their leadership, and people like AOC (not because of her far left views, but because she is a moron), but none of them hold a candle to Trump, when it comes to maturity, competency, decency. We should all be “intolerant” when it comes to people like him.

People worship him because he produces results. Unlike democrats who get the black vote every time just to end up $hitting all over them. Trump's done more for african americans than obama ever did. Obama only enabled minorities to feel victimized about everything. Obama did nothing for them for the long haul.

which party is in office. I'm an independent who voted for Obama in 2008.....I have my own issues with Trump....but they have lambasted this dude from the second he was sworn in. My problem isn't with liberals or conservatives, it's with a dishonest media who has scared the crap out of the entire country simply because they don't like the president's "tone."
If it wasn't the coronavirus, the MSM would be chasing something else to pin to this POTUS.
It also so befuddles me that there are people who dislike a good economy. The best economy in the country's history....but it was Trump's....and Trump tweets stuff...so let's berate it or better yet, just not cover it at all.

Yes. Stories have changed. But if you are honest, you will say that the democratic stories have wafflesd as well. Remember when they roasted him for shutting down travel to and from China on Jan 21? Pelolsi and other leaders said it was racist and unneeded. Then they told the public to come to Chinatown and there was nothing to fear.
This is just one example. And there are also plenty of examples from the republican side.
It is not possible to manage a large crisis without error, or without agitating segments of people with some actions.
I believe that most of our leaders are doing their honest best to beat this, and get our country up and running again.

Point Judge, I've only listened to a couple from 3-4 years ago and a couple about this virus. Just don't buy into the theory that government is bad and how half of American people want socialism etc. Same thing if someone tried to say Rachel Maddox doesn't promote an agenda.
Imho we have systemic issues in the country that need to be addressed - like 60 million Americans being hungry. The right wing says well if only they got out and worked hard they could achieve the American dream of being independent etc etc. Look at me type thing, I did it... But I hope everyone can agree that's just not reality. You're not going to have 300 million wealthy Americans
Now, opposite you have berny Sanders and Maddox on tv spewing that the answer is to do the"tip pool" concept. Take all the wealth and redistribute it... Yeah right, that's reality isn't it. That's happening right now.

If you don’t hate him, then why are you making up and exaggerating “facts”? Qne quick example: you state that he doubled the National debt. We would have to be at about 34 trillion for that to be true. We were at 20.5 at the start of the year.
Additionally, the last 3 trillion added was submitted by congress due to this virus. what’s he supposed to do, veto it?
When supporters see incorrect information bits, then its natural for them to assume that all of what’s being said is rubbish. Anti-Trumpers would be much more successful if they stuck to facts. There’s enough available without having to make some up.

I disagree. Populist authoritarians like Trump are responses to increasingly poor governance. Hillary Clinton was emblematic of the complacency of a majority party, and they had become arrogant, inflexible, and were systematically neglecting the well-being of their constituents. They had become a "Big Tent" of identity-politics coalitions, none of them really with any real ideas or even a real progressive agenda; they just counted votes and thought they had the numbers, while their approval ratings and voter engagement steadily dropped and America - especially rural America - slowly but steadily soured on them. And why not? Their counties and states were referred to as "flyover" zones, and it's been at least 30+ years since major politicians even bothered to solicit their votes.
You fly over and ignore a state or county enough times, it turns on you. That's what happened to the Democrats, IMHO.
Biden is the epitome of that old-school business politician, actually.

Agree with your last 3 sentences, but to your initial point... Remember that Trump went through the entire GOP primary field like a hot Knife through Butter. It was like lining an all star NFL DE up against a HS Oline. The GOP, despite all of its best efforts, could not keep the man out of the primary election. Remember they hated his guts until the moment the final vote was counted,, now they bend over in servitude. Truth be told they still hate him, just he is too powerful for them to speak it in the open.
This is a problem that has been brewing in our country for over 40 years. His campaign had a brilliant strategy in the Rust Belt. And for the first time we used data mined from faceboook on how to manipulate people down to the individual voter. It was a perfect storm.
Clinton was not the answer, nor is trump. Those were just the two shiddy candidates that are "emblematic" of the two we always seem to get stuck with. It happens every time. We will see more of it in the fall.
