That said I really like Galloway (under utilized), DAllen ( great upside) and also JLay. Goven our current problems with Rogers, Ngata, and Ladson, I wish Eliott will up regulate the TE position. All of the current TEs can play the Slot WR position well.

Just got done speaking to someone within program.
Prepare for more transfers after the season. Some other names we cant afford to lose.
Blows my mind how deeply down our program is falling and so many are oblivious to it.
UofSC & FSU turned into dumpster fires, LSU said wait, hold my beer,I got this LOL

Announcers all but confirm during every single game they play that one of the 2 freshmen QBs are leaving after the year.
LSU is just trying to give both playing time to figure out which one to beg to stay.

Confirmed basically now he’s leaving. If not, he’s showing all signs of it. Skipped practice.

LSU had a very good team last year but they were a flash in the pan. Everyone that can see knew that wasn’t going to carry over to this year. They pushed all of the right buttons last year and got a ring out of it. I think it’ll be there last one for awhile though.

Gilbert may end up being the best player in class of 2020

Call me crazy, but Arik Gilbert could end up being LeBron in football pads. He is an amazing talent.
If Dabo decided to make an exception to not accepting transfers, this is the guy.
If he leaves LSU, I'm sure UGA or Alabama will get him.

Easy for me to say but I just don’t want anything from LSU

anywhere near our locker room. I like Dabo’s approach and it clearly works. But then again, you never know what’s in a kid’s heart and I always trust Dabo in these situations.
Man, that is nearly half of their receiving yards for the year that has just walked off the field during the season. Terrible.

Yes, but he will be able to opt in to a 2 year deferral program as that is when OBJ is allowed back on campus.

The Athletic article on this cites homesickness as his

biggest reason for transferring. Of course there may be more to it than that (LSU is a huge mess atm), but if it is homesickness that likely narrows down his list of possible destinations to just a few. I would guess either Bama or Georgia as those were supposedly the favorites last year before he surprised everyone and committed to LSU.
Clemson is probably close enough to home as well (it's closer than Tuscaloosa), but I don't know if he would be seriously interested or if Dabo would even take him since he generally doesn't accept transfers. We have quite a few TEs on scholarship already and, while none are as talented as Gilbert, Dabo is definitely loyal to his guys and has publicly stated he'd rather play the guys already in the program than bring in transfers. It might be a different situation if we really had a big need at TE numbers wise, but I don't think that's the case here.

I don't buy the "homesick" excuse

IMO, he just wants out of a messy program and has already made up his mind to transfer to UGA. Floating homesickness as the issue is very convenient.
Alabama might still have a chance for him but I doubt it. He's telegraphing his decision.
