The All Brownelle Team

Reflecting on this the golden age of clemson basketball after digesting last night’s epic clash. Here is your all star lineup from the Brownelle era:
PG: Shelton Mitchell SG: Gabe DeVoe F: KJ Mcdaniels F: Jaron Blossomgame C: Elijah Thomas
Brad jokes aside for one sec, props to these kids for making the list. I’ve got Gabe DeVoe as MVP of the brad era. He averaged 25 ppg in a sweet 16 run, including 31 in a close loss to Kansas. Also ripped 9 boards in that game.
Feel free to dispute the starting five and mvp award. Just don’t bring me and brad down!
Let’s go fightin’ Brads!!!! Woooooo hooo woo hoo hoo hoo! B! R! A! D! S! Yeah! Yeah!!!!!!

This is the EPIC, undeniable FAIL of the Brownell era.

Pathetic recruiting and/or development. And yes, I'm well aware Clemson has never exactly been a pipeline to the NBA, I'm just pointing out the obvious massive failure continued on BB's watch, and he cannot escape blame for that. We can do better, and should expect and demand better.

I decided to look it up. In 2002, we had seven players in the NBA, with five averaging at least 20 minutes a game.
Coach at Clemson Greg Buckner Barnes Elden Campbell Ellis Dale Davis Ellis Horace Grant Ellis (but recruited by Foster) Harold Jamison Barnes Will Solomon Shyatt Chris Whitney Ellis
Sharone Wright (Ellis) also did well for a while (11 ppg one season) before his career was cut short due to injuries in an auto accident.
Since 2002, it looks like Trevor Booker (Purnell) has been the most successful NBA player, playing eight seasons and averaging 10 points a game a couple of times.

Agree. Brad peaked with that team and then Simms and now PJ but unfortunately those guys are doing it alone.

I believe that even now PJ Hall deserves to be on the all CBB team.

Fair. DeVoe averaged 14 a game his last season. He gets the nod for me based on how he took over and led tourney run. Marcquise Reed def deserves recognition when talking all brad team you’re right

Well . . . Somehow things seemed to have taken a turn for the worse . . . Kinda surreal to look back now and realize how good that sweet 16 team actually was
