With all the portal movement it is just a guess on their part so they let their biases fly. Any one of us could have written this article.
If I wrote it I would think FSU fans will be ready for āWetoldyousoāsā by week 6. I think the Pac12 teams will get the snot beat out of them in the B1G. And for those conclusions I probably did just as much research and analysis as Stewart.

I have to agree here. Ranking Miami, Louisville, and NC St above Clemson is simply laughable. No other way to describe it (and the jury is still out on FSU, imo). Maybe it's a desperate attempt at click-bait or something, but yeah, it won't age well, and I'd guess one of you guys will save it and reference it late next Fall.
Clemson is not the juggernaught y'all were 5-8 years ago, but that ranking is a plain joke.

I'm shocked the media thinks so highly of the ACC. I certainly don't think we're 5th but should finish #1 in conference. However, we did have some embarrassing losses to some of the teams they're putting ahead of us. The loss to Miami was on our D, its been a long time since I've seen an offense clearly and intentionally go one dimensional on us and succeed.

I love the way this season is setting up for us; bring on the doubters. Dabo's teams typically respond well to the "underdog" role. Idk that we can really be called underdogs at this point, but we aren't outright favorites to win our own conference.
Defense should be solid top to bottom. Cade needs to take a step forward (particularly protecting the football). That said, if Luke can get that OL improved and give him more time, I expect Cade to perform much better.
UGA in game 1 will be a really good barometer of the season, but even a loss doesn't ruin the season unless it's by 3+ tds. I expect a 17-10 type defensive battle, similar to the last time we played them in Charlotte, but we shall see.

Cade does need to take the next step forward, but Luke is shoring up OL to give him a chance to do that. As far as the fumblitist, that takes 2. Not all of the fumbles were Cadeās fault. Part of those were on Shipley. Mafah didnāt seem to have nearly as many drops at hand off as Shipley. Yes, Cade made rookie mistakes like all rookies, but football is a team sport. It takes an OL that gives him time to hand off the ball, etc, but also good hands to take or catch it. This is Cadeās time to shine. He just has to figure out he can trust his guys.
As far as the garbage about us being 5th best in ACC, that is a sick joke! Let them keep giving our tigers scraps like this. We will have the last laugh. We thrive on them bad mouthing us! Go Tigers!

If that holds true, well then I will hope/expect Dabo to adjust because he likes to do things right....But he also likes to win, which is where the fun is as he has stated.
I see another ACC title, but it will not be easy at all. Clemson needs to become the juggernaut they were back in the last 2010's but that requires great QB and receiver play

In conference we tied with three teams with a 4-4 record. Duke beat us so really we were the 7th best team. *We did beat UNC which is also tied with a 4-4 conference record.

The only way the Tigers are better is if they start camp as pissed off and accountable as they were after NC State last year and stay that way the whole year. I hate koolaid / talking season. Itās absolutely garbage. One article says weāll have the best O Line ever and the next will say something like this one.
I donāt think weāll be the fifth best team in the ACC BUT I also said the same thing last year. We have fallen. The question is will we get up and dust ourselves off and fight some more or are we a 8-4 to 10-2 type team from here on out.
I was definitely not impressed by the Kentucky bowl game. So much kool aid was pumped after that game. A Kentucky team. Not an Alabama, or Georgia, or even Tennessee. We beat Kentucky. Which the dirtpeckers did too. So in my mind we have an awful lot to prove this year.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Clemson has had three 7-loss seasons in the last 50 years (Georgia has had two in the last 60). By comparison, Miami has had 3 in the last decade alone (with only one 10-win season, and one Bowl win since '07).

Five seasons out from being a multiple national champion and perennial top-four team, weāre back to the Tommy Bowden days. Based on last season I can see why a lot of people might think that. The Clemson football team was average in 2023, and for most of the season we really sucked. Our QB and OL play was total shyatt. To fall that far in five seasons is a disgrace.
