Start doing chores now for your wife with a prearranged deal that she will handle mid-game diapers.

It never failed that the excitement of the moment got to both of my kids and they would produce the worst diapers just as things got fun during the games.

In all seriousness:

Hearing protection.

Snacks (milk, formula, whatever you're using at the moment).

More diapers and wipes than you think you need.

A good exit strategy or place to take a break if your baby isn't loving it because your baby won't remember the game but those around you don't want to hear a crying baby. Err on the side of stepping out if you aren't sure because the cries that you have become used to will drive some people nuts while they try to watch the game.

If you need to "bounce" your baby to sleep for a quick nap, there is a standing room space behind the handicap seats in the West End Zone where you can watch the game and not block anyone's view. It also gives you a little more room for the rocking or bouncing without disturbing those in the seats around you.

Get to your seats a little early and take your pictures before the game starts in case things go sideways during the game. In a few years the pictures will be the lasting memories from this first game because you and your wife will likely end up exhausted trying to make sure you have everything taken care of.

My wife and I took each of ours to their first games around 4 months old. We love looking back at the pictures and we are so happy that we took them that early and have made sure to get to at least one game with both of them every year.

Our kids are now 6 and 3 and both associate Clemson with having fun with our family which is the part that my wife and I are truly grateful for because we both love our trips to Clemson.

The only way I would bring a baby that age to a game is if I had no other option and really wanted to go to the game. Years ago there was a family that had seats beside and in front of us and they brought all of their kids to the games starting probably much earlier than 6 months. The kids didn’t bother us at all so that’s not an issue. I just remember thinking why would you want to bring one at that age. They don’t know what’s going on and the parents were up and down during the entire game. I’m a woman but I really enjoy watching the game and wouldn’t want to be going in and out of the seats that much during the game. We’re still sitting in those same seats and haven’t seen that family in years. Their kids may be Clemson students or graduates now!
