My Grandfather was a Steel worker, and helped build a fair amount of the buildings in Columbia. He never went to college because "never had the time or the use" for it.
To make a long story short he LOVED football and adored Clemson. He worked his tail off from 1945 to 1991 sometimes leaving his family for several months to build buildings all up and down the east coast. He always told my Grandmother to save the sport sections of The State when he was out of town because he wanted to read "about them Tigers" when he got home.
His hard work paid the way for my mother to go away to Winthrop to be the first person on that side of the family to earn a college degree. One fall afternoon my mother was given two tickets two a Clemson game as a perk for winning Miss South Carolina Electric Cooperative. She invited my her Dad to the game.... for his first Clemson game in person.
At this game my mother met a guy who was a junior at Clemson. He also loved Clemson football ( of course). He may have been skinny and in the ROTC, but he was confident enough to approach a beauty queen. 3 years later after another Clemson game that little guy (my father) proposed to my mother in the shadow of Tillman Hall...
Because of my Grandfathers hard work it allowed my immediate family to get the education they needed to start their careers, and in turn led to me also earning my degree and MBA.
Soooo my Tattoo honors two things that I love, Clemson football and my Grandfather who always said "nothing is as solid as steel".
If you dont like it, that is fine.... I love it

it is a school. I can understand pulling for both teams, but cannot get how much more you like CU. Would think you would have some close friends that you tailgated, etc with from MD while you were there...making memories that you will never have at CU. Seems all you have with CU is sports and that is fine, but you did go to MD and had an opportunity to be a part of much more than just college athletics.
