Excellent dance with great beach music songs.
One cool song is Dancin, shaggin on the boulevard by Alabama

My style of Shag is have some beer and shake your drunk ### with a honey.
For many it is a competitive dance where awards are given, I am not good at that, but luv to watch.
In the day my Bride took all sorts of dance classes at the Y. I was her practice dummy when she got home.
Once she and friends decided to teach me "real" Shag.
The deal was classes at "Grouchos" on Independence. It was an incredible little Beach Music Bar where I felt at home.
Dance Class was on Wednesday which was also the weekly "all comers" track meet.
Everything I had learned in Ocean Drive as a teen in the 60s was apparently wrong.
Expert friends took me over to teach, and that annoyed me as I just want to ??
Doing it "right" was sucking the fun out of Beach Music for me.
One night my Bride gave up and said I could leave and just go to the #### track meet.

Most guys and girls were on the thin side.
That was normal. Very few kids were fat.
Now most are on the fat side and now that is seen as normal.

I'm 42 and my wife from Mississippi rolls her eyes but beach music can't be beat. I grew up on it. And not this Jim Quick BS. General Johnson (RIP) and the Chairman of the Board, The Tams, The Catalinas. Oooo summer love
