I would like to see aerial view of that run. Where was defensive tackle, corner back, linebacker and safety.

Because we didn’t even allow for pressure to be out on Texas with them only up one score.

First pic the safety up top by the referee moved up to either blitz or fake a blitz. The second pic we missed. And the third we had 3 guys there. But that play definitely killed the momentum we had and gave it right back to them.

Broke through the arm tackle of Parker...slight hold on Capehart by the Guard let that hole open just long enough...and obviously Sammy was out of position and just bad angles to get back....it's over a done with

He wasn't out of position. He got blocked NY an offense lineman and couldn't get off the block.

I ran this over and over last night on YouTube TV Library and you are pretty close. Parker did have an arm out. It was actually Peyton Page who was next to Parker and was shedding his block when the O Lineman dropped down and grabbed him around the waist just long enough to keep him from getting there. Then just after that the receiver on Terrell puts a hand on his shoulder pad and grabs his jersey - again just long enough to create that gap. Texas off to the races through that gap.

by a guy 80/90 pounds larger than him
He was coming off the edge and took himself out of the play with the play design to be inside the tackle

Being three yards deep in the backfield is usually what you want

Not by a linebacker whose job it is to fill a whole. DE is supposed to be out there setting an edge to turn it back into the LB.

It looks to me like Sammy was late getting to the gap. The tackle should not be 4 yards into the backfield before engaging the LB.
And, the DBs appear to take a horrible angle to the runner.

We couldn’t stop the run all season and had a lot of missed tackles vs Citedal, Scar and of course Texas! We knew we had to stop the run but fail miserably trying! These areas need to be fixed idk if that means a LB coach and Wes just DC or without wes we shall see. Go Tigers!!

Its the DE getting Hooked in that first Pic.
He has to set the end and keep contain.
Since he gets hooked, blocks off inside pursuit (PWoo) LB kicked out (Woodaz) and Sammy is covered up so RB just uses vision to house it.
DE losing contain on both sides killing us. Unless some idiot is giving them another assignment. Fire that guy.
I know on the 3&10 in 1st half they ran it right into a twist, but if its a base call the DE can’t get owned by the tackle and turned inside.
Parker is a great end but he’s no Cle Missile out there in Run D. And the other ends aren’t half the player of Parker so there is your issue.

Finally someone who knows what he is talking about or DE’s have hurt us all year not keeping containment. We have been lacking in DE play all year. Parker can’t do it by himself.

Watching the replay on the game broadcast...

...it looked to me like Sammy Brown was late getting to the gap and the OT just manhandled him pushing him away as he was late to the gape anyway.
I'd like to see it again. But, I'm not X and O guru. It might not have been his gap to fill in the first place.
I know TX fans will be screaming, "Great block by that tackle!" but it looked to me to be more of a case of Brown being slow and soft getting to the gap, making the tackle's job much easier.
(I also think the DB took a horrible angle to the play and should have shut it down for a 5-10 yard run.

Yes terrible angles, particularly by Khalil Barnes! At first I thought he got trucked with a stiff arm but on closer inspection he merely got swatted away, he was already going to miss based on a really poor angle!

He wasn't late. He just got manhandled by the tackle. The problem is nobody up front move the line of scrimmage at all. The defensive lineman in the linebackers on the line just completely got eaten up by blocks. That last Sammy Brown by himself to try to fill that hole, and again, that tackle came out absolutely untouched and just drove him back 10 yards downfield. The problem is those guys up front are just not moving the offensive lineman off the line of scrimmage at all. That's why I keep arguing with these people who were saying this the scheme. It's not. These guys are just getting physically manhandled and the opposing teams are just opening up huge holes.

So, how does a new DC fix that problem?
Def not defending Wes bc he has to go but besides teaching better angles it seems our defensive problems have to do more with getting the Jimmy & Joe’s than the X & O’s.
OC’s get paid millions too to create mismatches so even if we get the best DC there is who calls all the schemes we got to get more dudes who don’t get beat at the LOS

There is no real fix honestly. You can improve it somewhat, but the only way to really fix the problem is just to recruit better players.

Yes. Their OC realized our DE’s could not set the edge… so they just kept calling the same play… picking on the sore spot. That is what any good OC will do.
We need more violent DE & DT a la 2015-2020 ish… DC only calls the plays you still have to do your job.
