They used to be referred to as The Gobblers. Guess Hokies sounds better.  Bill Dooley was the HC before Frank Beamer and had some success. His brother- Vince Dooley - is the most successful HC in Georgia Bulldog history. Tech had their greatest success under Beamer, from the early nineties until about 2011. Had a lead going into the 4th quarter of the national title game of the '99 season, but then got blown out by FSU in the last 15 minutes. That's the closest they've come to winning it all. Fuentes definitely seems to be bringing them back to national prominence. Should be a good game tomorrow night. GoooooooTigers!!!!!!!!
