Tell me I'm wrong about the 2024 Clemson football season!

What's up with all the herp derp 9-3, 10-2, maybe we get to the ACCCG type of talk. Let's look at this thing objectively.
Trenches. One of our better OL groups with the top OL coach in the nation. DL with PWOO, TJ Parker, Tre Williams, Page, Capehart. We got the hosses in the trenches to hold up.
Mafah. 'nuff said. With a healthy Haynes mixed in for a change of pace.
Wide Retrievers - Tyler Brown back and ready to show out. Tonio. Money year for Randall to silence the haters. Cole Turner back and healthy. Stellato - who knows, but got some strong hands. Oh yeah... 2 of the top freshmen WRs in the country. Is one of them gonna shine?
TE - Brinny and Sapp = we good.
On the back end... We got Mike Reed and Conn coaching em up #1. but we also got the dudes. Terrell, Gipson, Lewis, Barnes - always around the football
Then we got Weslichik and Riley calling the plays.
Oh almost forgot about the 5 star QB and #2 rated player in the nation in HS who has had an entire season under his belt and offseason tutoring from Manning and Riley returning.
What about Dabo? You think he's ready to prove anything this year? We back boys. Enjoy the ride. But go ahead, Tell me I'm wrong. Find me a loss in the schedule. I've been looking and I dont see one, but football is hard, so I could see 15-1.

game 1. Go ahead and get it out of the way. Doubt they go undefeated after that as well, loss to schedule. I just hope we can get to Charlotte and give ourselves a chance at a final ACC Championship ( stick it to em as we exit).

Until Cade quits making horrible decisions like throwing into double coverage, or throwing it up for grabs to avoid a sack, we will lose at least 3 games.

Couldn't agree more. Certainly going into the season pulling for the team to be undefeated. Just too many variables. I thought David Hood's article was very on point.

I like your positive attitude. I believe most of the media is looking at our play last season but like you I feel we will have a much improved season. Matt Luke has a lot of talented players and I feel he will coach them up thus giving Cade the time he needs to make plays happen. Dabo and staff will have the team well oiled and ready to roll come August. GO TIGERS!

We will likely start 0-1, then I expect us to win most of our remaining games simply because we have so much more talent and resources the majority of teams on our schedule don’t have.
We will likely lose at least 1, if not 2-3, games we shouldn’t. This is based on the last few years of evidence.
I hope I’m pleasantly surprised and we are one of the best teams in the country this year. I just don’t see it.

We will go as far as Cade goes. If he has taken a major step forward a playoff appearance and ACC title is feasible. If he's still throwing the ball into double coverage and trying to play hero ball it's going to be a long year.
I also think we just lack the talent of the elite teams. Every team who has won a national title in the last decade has had 25+ future NFL players on the roster (except Georgia in 2022 and Michigan in 2023, but they will end up with 25+ over the next draft or two.) I don't think Clemson has more than 10-12 NFL guys on the roster, none of which appear to be Day 1, maybe even Day 2 draft picks. And we don't have the generational QB to make up for it. So Can we win the ACC and sneak into the playoff? Sure. Will we play for a national title or win one? I'd be absolutely stunned.

I love your confidence and hope you are right Caddie. Mafah, Cade and Brinny have to stay healthy. One position not mentioned that concerns me is FG kicker. We need a kicker who can kick 45 yarders and less consistently. If they can hit a 50 yarder even better. A long FG can win a game or certainly change momentum. Missed FG's are deflating to both sides of the ball.

You are somewhat wrong. We will get our ### handed to us vs Georgia. We will then lose two or three more. From then on an 8-4 or 7-5 type team qualifying for the GASPERILLA Bowl.

They were not even good. We were just so pathetic.
We have the same QB who seems completely in over his head.
IF Cade plays as well as an above-average ACC QB then I think we go to the playoffs.

we were a great QB, a good kicker, some WRs who can catch, a few turnovers, and an Oline away from making a 4-team playoffs.
if we were "that close", then making a 12-team playoff will be a walk in the park this year.

I definitely think we have a better kicker this year. He was better than Gunn in the spring game. I’ll have to see the offense improve with my own I eyes before I can make any predictions.

step up and our QB needs to get his head straight. He has the talent. Our WRs are talented. I have complete faith in our defense. Complete faith in Mafah. I'm not even particularly worried about the OLine...I think they do fine and I'm sorry that Cade has to sometime keep plays alive but that's football and we are fortunate that he is fast...just needs to keep his head on straight when he's moving.
Georgia is a tough game one. I'm not saying we can't win but obviously very tough. The good news is that, even if we lose, we have seen that this team keeps it together. We don't fall apart because we've had a let down.
