There is no way Dabo could have watched film and thought Grisham deserved another year...

I think the question is how much blame you place on the QB, or the WRs skill set, or coaching. I'm guessing they will let Garrett evaluate all 3 and make a recommendation to Dabo, most likely after they see how next year goes.

Good take, Garret will make the call next year and this gives him time. Who knows, maybe Griffen needed some guidance and BS wasn’t qualified enough to give it to him.

Well Grisham was with them on the recruiting trail so as far as any outsider can tell it looks like grisham is still the guy at WR coach.

It was reported Jeff Scott was returning. Did that happen?

down at the Holiday Inn bar. We like to meet on Thursday mornings after our 8 mile run around town.
He happened to mention this morning he doesn't even really watch much film any more. Apparently the commentary on TigerNet is what drives his daily decisions.... sometimes even in game decisions when he has a chance to log on at half time.
Anyway, it was a casual conversation - they usually are. I'll press him more next Thursday - it's his turn to buy.

Good, because if he'd taken care of OC problems after the Chad left, we'd have a couple more natty tites in the curio.

to realize that RILEY is MUCH GREATER than Streeter.
Had he listened some of us on here LAST YEAR he could've avoided the entire Streeter project entirely.
shortlist last year should've been:
Riley Longo Briles Lebby
with Streeter being a distant 60th

I have not been happy with the progression of our WR either but I do think they deserve a shot with a QB who can get the ball to them. We did see a big difference in the two games CK started. After this year if we don’t see a big improvement, it’s time to make a change.

Agreed. I feel confident the O is in good hands with Riley and he'll jockey staff to be successful. At this point, we should be more concerned about evaluation of the D.

A QB will only do so much with our WRs.....

Spector has hands of stone so it doesn't matter how good of a pass he gets........he ain't catching it.
Antonio (our best WR) has hands and short area quickness, but lacks long speed......Riley's offense could get him open more
Turner looks promising and will likely play a role in our future WRs group, but I don't see him being a Tee Higgins/Justyn Ross that teams "fear".
Collins - he's been disappointing so far.......not an alpha WR and lacks speed.
Stellato/Taylor - again, if we're depending on them for us to return to ELITE WRU then we're kidding ourselves.
Randall & incoming Fresh. WR - too early to tell.
I know we currently "don't have room", but we have before and we may after spring practice to dip into the portal to make 1-2 significant talent upgrades at WR.........none of our returning WRs (sans Williams) are "too good" to be upgraded through the portal................maybe Riley has some say in that......time will tell.
all that said..........a competent playcaller in Riley will do MUCH more with our WRs than our former incompetent OC/playcaller.
