He's done something at Clemson that broke the mold.

Which is why I cant see him as a serious candidate to step into other high-profile head coaching roles like Bama. And I dont really think he's interested.

It's not a knock to say that. It's just that he caught lightning in a bottle at Clemson, everything came together. And he did it his way.
But it's hard to imagine his way working in other places, given the mercenary nature of the game now.

If he can get the team back into the playoff mix next year and keep them there, he'll probably have a good, long run into his late 50s. Then I could see him retiring and writing a book and hitting the chicken dinner circuit, maybe doing some TV work, or taking on a lower-profile P5 rebuild somewhere like Mack Brown did at UNC.
