I would hope Wes is in line for a decent performance pay bump for the coming year. He fielded a championship level D this season, and to me has a keen knack for adjusting early in-game. We're recruiting like gangbusters on that side under him also. Dude is a keeper.

Yeah, I would think the entire D staff will get bumps. But as sour as they are in Oklahoma, I don't think they'll be real thrilled to see another Clemson staffer.

I had to explain to my wife why it was funny that Herbstreit kept talking about the D having their eyes in the right place over and over and over…Good ole Kev - I was shocked he still has shelf life. At the end of the day, the players play, not the coaches.

I would think Venables would be more involved with the defense now that he has more time on the job as hc. Kirby looks like he’s highly involved with defensive play calling
