National anthem. Patriotic or political? Some moron just asked why we have the national anthem at sports events because it’s political.

The biggest problem in this country is people who use 1 instance to draw conclusions about 50% of the population.
But to answer your question... it will always be Patriotic.

The Pledge of Allegiance should have never been removed from public schools. If you move to USA and are using free public education, then you can pledge your Allegiance. The government has done little to create patriotism and seems like everything they are doing to tear down the morality of society. Now we are a couple of generations removed from prayer and pledge of Allegiance in schools, the parents of kids today have never been asked to praise their American freedom. Every generation going forward will further diverge from having been taught Patriotism as their parents were not given the opportunity.
When I visit my parents in Iowa, one thing I notice is American flags in yards of families and businesses is very prevalent. Also, 4th of July is very much celebrated but the average age in the farming communities is much older as the youth move away to cities looking for work and not carrying on the families farms.

I'm very Patriotic for my country, and I believe Patriotism has held our country together since the day we became known as the United States of America!!!

It is used politically by people who don’t like our country and view it as oppressive or as an opportunity to make a statement in protest.
It is also used politically by people who want to force America on others, sort of a way to say that we are better than you and you must think like us.

It represents our country good and bad parts. If someone doesn’t like the anthem, they are showing a dislike for our country and that is not patriotic.

I believe that being Patriotic is a good thing, and anybody that wants to see how Patriotism looks, look no further than the day the empire of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, and see how fast and how many Americans were enlisting in all branches of our Armed forces to show the world how fast Americans will join together and risk all to protect the country we call home...

Can you believe that!!
Should be English, imho, and all should speak & write it even though 350 different languages are spoken & written in US.
Really get annoyed sometimes hearing families speak another language in public when speaking English should be their go to public language and while in private speak their former language so to keep it fresh and enjoy its heritage.

The left not only believes that the National anthem is political, they believe it is racist. It's why they created a new one just for other races to participate in
They also believe the same thing about the American flag

In the past, when our gov was for and by the people, it was patriotic. Unfortunately, our government was sold to the highest bidder to carry out their agenda rather than what is best for our people or country
