Quick observations and thoughts on Clemson's 2020 football schedule
The Atlantic Coast Conference released the 2020 league football schedule Wednesday, and like we’d been hearing for a few weeks now the Tigers will open the season on the road at Georgia Tech. This is the first time Clemson has opened with an ACC foe in back-to-back years since a five-season stretch of in-conference season openers across the 1965-69 seasons. Full Story » |

I attended all four of Clemson's games against Notre Dame and I fully intend to be at the fifth.
Hopefully, Notre Dame gives Clemson more than 5,000 tickets or this one will be a tough ticket to score.

Yep, 79 was sweet revenge for that Montana game. We were about 10 deep on the hill for the back breaking heart ripping defeat. Cried almost the whole drive back to cootville.
Tried to go but didn't have tickets and was afraid we couldn't get them. Young and stupid we set out thursday and made it to Cherokee NC late. , 3 fat boys piled in the back of a datsun b210 in some park by a nice stream and nearly froze that night. We came back Friday and after nice comfy party night, partied all weekend listening to it.

ACC games: " In accordance with a league-wide agreement, visiting Atlantic Coast Conference schools can request a maximum of 4,300 tickets."
Of course, since ND isn't really in the ACC for football I wonder how it will work?

We were at the Notre Dame game in 1979. Our group flew in to Chicago and chartered a bus from there. When we arrived at the stadium in South Bend some Notre Dame students asked us where exactly Clemson was located in New Jersey... Duh! They had no idea what they were up against. The ride back to Chicago was very festive and the driver got the best tip he'd ever received.

Hope the ACC required them to give more than 5000 or they will not and could well set a new high for regular season game ticket. This will be game day and it will be loud. The weeks leading up to the game will be filled with Clemson plays nobody. The Roybus will have to take us there for sure.

Well, if my math is correct, David Hood is 51 years old unless his birthday falls on or before Jan 22 - in which case he is 52 years old. Just add this to "Notes".
You look much younger than your age David - hope I did not make a math error.

Prepare for even more media bashing if the schedule this year. Last year's combined record of the opponents is 70-81, only 5 of the teams had a break even or winning record and only teams won bowl games. Schedules are what they are and another undefeated season should happen.

Swofford having Bell Cow Clemson play away on Thur and Fri??

Nice ACC! Good job Swofford. One of the only ACC schools you can count on for ratings and bowl game victories and you have them play away on Thursday night and Friday night like a high school team or second rate division two team that people only watch because it is the Thursday night game?
Would SEC make Alabama play away on Thursday night and Friday night? And let's make Tigers start off with two ACC games and no cupcake non-division game? Let me guess and you will try to make those three Saturdays in September home games be noon games??!!! And have them go away to FSU and away to Notre Dame. Love that we play at Notre Dame as until Chickens get better rankings that SEC game never counts for us as playing a top team so that is actually hurting us in strength of schedule too even though we add that SEC school.
I guess this schedule means ACC Network will have nobody watching for two full Saturdays as Tigers play during the week. Nice again Swofford makes a lot of sense.
I got news for you ACC North Carolina Office: Clemson Tigers will dominate all and you can put us on any night of the week and we will still beat any team you can find by at least 14 points! Go tigers do it again regardless of what Swofford tries to do!! Can't wait for us to get started!

I think it is unfair that we have a Friday game away only 6 days after playing. One of those days will be a travel day. It would seem more appropriate to have a Friday game at home, if we had to have one at all. ACC planning at its finest!
