the championship game. In terms of a football game, it’s a good matchup. There are teams I’d rather see in if we weren’t, but as just a sports fan, can’t think of a matchup I’d rather see played. So, from just a football standpoint, not about conferences etc, who would you pick for the championship game that would interest you more if we weren’t in?

Don't care for either team but I will be watching because it's the last chance for college football until next season. Guess I'm going with Bama because I absolutely hate UGAY.

Just not interested, I know they beat their opponent but the Natty seems to be all about politics. Shame only one conference is represented. ESPN and their politics doesn't help how people is reacting. Not any fun anymore. Not excited at all. College football has changed so much it is losing its luster.

It starts at 8:30 or 9 on a Monday night is the biggest reason I will not be watching. I do not have a care about who wins so I want be losing sleep on a workday for a meaningless game.

It's not about the match-up. It's about having to sit there for 4 + hours and listen to all of the bull$#!+ from eSECpn on how just freakin' great the SEC is.
I mean it would be one thing if it were Clemson verus one of these two teams, but could you imagine the build -up to this game would be if it were Cincinnati and Michigan. There would be no build-up.
As long as there is only one SEC team, IMO, ok .But come Monday night eSECpn will be singing the praises of the only conference that matters;
SEC SEC SEC ! If that doesn't surprise you, nothing will.

Its unfortunately true though and they just say the stuff the largest fan base wants to hear for ratings. The ACC probably will never send 2 to the champship game even with expanded playoffs.

I don't understand all the sec hate here, anyone with half a brain knows the sec is clearly the best conference and they get their due respect as that.
It's wild at the jealousy here at the attention the sec gets.
Clemson doesn't take the back seat to aby program period....but every conference takes a back seat to the sec talent and program wise

I'm not a big fan of watching other teams play if they're not playing Clemson, but I will keep checking in on the Bama VS UGA game. I would hate missing UGA losing to Bama, and I will keep checking in to see if it happens!!!

I might watch the first quarter or so. Already seen the matchup once. If it was somebody else playing Bama or UGA I’d watch to cheer for the upset, but not worth the hit I’d take on sleep.
As an aside, I feel the Super Bowl is the only “championship” game that gets it right. Mostly everything else starts too late on week nights to watch as a casual fan.

I have no interest in listening to the unrealistic SEC-worship drivel. Two great teams? Sure, but the rest of the conference was trash. I don't need to spend 3.5 hrs listening to anyone telling me it's raining as my leg gets wet.

I do not place either of these teams in the category of 2018 Clemson or 2019 LSU. That said, I am interested in the mental matchup between Saban and Smart .. and the two best football rosters by far on the college field in 2021 season. And how will the losing team deal with the loss?
Clemson has had one he11uva six year-plus streak. I am not going to sit here and have sour grapes because Clemson missed on a QB prospect and had a bad 2021 season as a result. Dabo and Street will soon have a chance to fix things in 2022 season.
