Hate to say, but since the NIL, I don't have a lot confidence in recruiting anymore. These players go to all their visits and then go to the highest bidder.

PT is earned at Clemson. It’s not an entitlement based in HS accolades.

Give it a rest..I can remember Deshaun Watson trotting out on the field and effortlessly taking the offense down the field for a TD against UGA only to see Cole Stoudt’s sorry a$$ come back back out and struggle the rest of the game..pure stubbornness and pride

Maybe Deshaun only knew a handful of plays at that time.

Kind of like being earned by lining up correctly and not drawing penalties and by not giving up on routes

That's not what all are looking for, especially if their parents are successful and can help them out while in college....

Well I am sure he saw the Clemson-UGa game and if Ga is recruiting him he would probably lean towards them because of the play of our receivers ( or lack of play).

If he watches the whole season, then there’s a really good chance that he’ll witness the rise of Bryant Wesco and T.J.Moore. He’ll see how well Antonio Williams plays. He’ll see 3* Tyler Brown play very well (this reveals that Clemson is associated with a ‘lesser’ player becoming a very important contributor = good coaching).

If ‘family’ is really a big deal for him, then Clemson should rate highly with him. The overlooked aspect of Dabo’s, let’s call it, ‘judicious’ approach to the portal. He doesn’t run players off as long as they behave (Zaire Patterson). Locker room continuity at Clemson is paralleled only by the service academies.

Family important to you? Clemson means more than just loving your family at home (which is obviously the most important). Dabo’s philosophy for Clemson is for another famiky, this other one being the away-from-home family.

As always, we’ll see.

Come on down Donovan, I know that you see that we could use you soon if not sooner. A little advice if you expect early playing time, get in a really good weight room and get a head start on putting on some more muscle weight. At 6'3" 180 lbs, thing could get broken pretty easy in the college game. At least try to be 195 to 200 lbs before you get to Clemson, and you could find your way on the field pretty early at Clemson, our coaches will play freshman just as quick as they will play a junior if he has his body ready to take the punishment, and you pick up the play book pretty fast...
