why does anyone care what anyone else does re: the COVID vaccine?
If someone has significant risk factors or is going to be in a situation where the risk of acquiring COVID is higher, why would anyone care if that individual took the shot?
If someone chooses to take the COVID vaccine just because they woke up and had a chubby towards that idea, why does anyone care?
If someone chooses not to take further COVID shots or chose never to take the first shot, why does anyone care?
There's no badge of honor in either taking every COVID shot available or not taking any.
There is no real pressure to take the shot, so I don't get anyone's air of superiority for a personal choice.
As Bill Murray said,"It just doesn't matter."

I think it's a tough sell at this point. The facts are COVID is not a seasonal virus and the vaccine does not confer much benefit beyond 3-4 months and the virus continues to mutate ahead of any shot in production.
For some people, it does make sense to take it.
For most people including myself, it doesn't.
However, I don't care what anyone else does.

It made a big difference in 2021/2022....

Back then, the pandemic was still going on. And people who took the shots had much more protection than people who did not. And those who later took boosters, have even more protection, not only against death but against long covid. The original shot series was taken by about 70% of the country. The people who didn't take them ended up being mostly Republicans who were listening to anti-vax nonsense, and hundreds of thousands of them died from the virus, when a shot could've saved them.
Having said the above, at this point, with the pandemic over, and people back to normal, I put the Covid shot and Flu shot in the same basic category, i.e, take them if you want and if you don't, then fine. I'm not for Covid shot mandates.
For shots that kids take, MMR, Polio, whatever my kids took when they were kids....those should be mandatory, absent some medical excuse.

All vaccines are natural. They wouldn't work of they weren't natural.

Very few people know how vaccines work. If they did they would understand the lies a little better. RFK is likely correct on a lot of his comments on vaccines. And public health has lied for a long time about vaccines.
Here's the facts. No vaccine has ever stopped a virus, with the exception of a smallpox. Mumps, measles, whooping cough, influenza, polio, TB, they're all still around. No vaccine prevents you from getting a virus 100%. Most vaccines, in reality, are between 60 and 80% effective on an individual basis. But depending on the virus, and the vaccine, if 98% of people get a vaccine that's only 60% or 65% effective against the virus, on a population level, the virus becomes rare. This is why they mandate vaccines be taken. Almost all are not perfect. But if 99% of people get a vaccine that's 60-70% effective, most viruses will cease to circulate. This only works if everyone gets the vaccine. If only 90% get that 65% effective vaccine, it still runs rampant.
In America we don't think this way. We take vaccines to help ourselves. If they do t work, why should I take it? Very few people get vaccines for the right reason, and that is to protect others, everyine. We think as individuals in America and that has strengths, and weaknesses. We think it should be a choice. We are free individuals. If I don't want a vaccine then I won't take one. In reality, again vaccines are not perfect, and if even 10% object, the virus will roar back.
I see these Twitter posts about vaccine rates dropping in red states. And almost every one of those post ls are from blue state liberals. They're fine with that. More dead Republicans. And they're wring. If red state Republicans stop vaccines, or even 10% of red state Republicans, that means EVERYONE starts getting it again. Blue state dems. Even vaccinated blue state dems, and even more red state dems will get it. Vaccinated people will start getting sick because.... Again..... 60% effective is 40% ineffective. Added circulation also allows the virus to mutate around the vaccines. This is why Americans who have been vaccinated are often required to get a booster if visiting other countries where the disease or virus is rampant.
But we have been lied to but worse, misinformed. And the science says, with many viruses, an imperfect vaccine can stop a virus, but only if everyone takes it. Then there are some viruses a vaccine will never work on. Influenza is one of those. Covid is another.

This is why most vaccines should be mandatory and universal. You need herd immunity, as we're all protecting each other. This was explained ad nauseum during the pandemic, BTW, by the health experts that the right-wing hates.
I have two items to comment on with your post:
1) I see these Twitter posts about vaccine rates dropping in red states. And almost every one of those post ls are from blue state liberals. They're fine with that. More dead Republicans. And they're wrong.
No one should be cheering dead Americans if that's happening. But when Red State America stops universal vaccination, don't start lecturing "blue state liberals". The Blue State liberals want Red State Americans to get vaccinated. You should be angry with the red state morons (and there are some anti-vaxx morons in blue areas, too) and not someone on twitter making fun of the morons who reject the vaccines because of lies about the vaccines.
2) Then there are some viruses a vaccine will never work on. Influenza is one of those. Covid is another.
The people that took the vaccines were less likely to get infected, less likely to get severe covid, and less likely to die from Covid. Those are absolute facts. So, yes, the vaccines didn't eradicate Covid. But they still saved millions of lives, and because of that the Covid vaccines have been a great success.

Exactly Keowee!!! Those of us who never took the shot were demonized. Now all of a sudden it doesn’t matter. That’s what we were saying from day friggin one. If you want it take it. If you don’t then don’t. That was not good enough for the “experts” 4 years ago.

I know better than even respond to your nonsense but I’ll do it this once. I’m self employed so I was able to say no thanks to the shot. Yeah people like me were told we were killing granny, spreading the virus to children, and my all time favorite “incubators of death”. But those were just silliness I could ignore due to their ignorance. But others were told they would be fired if they didn’t take the shot. Many were fired. Heck, I even remember morons saying the unvaccinated should be put in concentration camps. Oh well, y’all made your decisions and I made mine. I faired pretty dang well.

FWIW, I was in the Moderna trial and was in the first 15,000 who had the vaccine, Sept. 2020. Since then I've had 5 boosters I believe and have not had COVID nor any known side effects. Also FWIW, I've taken vitamin C and E daily since 1976. I've never had the flu either. Never. Neither did my parents (RIP). "Natural immunity"? Luck? Who knows. Do I trust tRump and RFK, Jr. to tell me how to manage my health? HELL NO. Peace Out.

Trump wanted people to take the shots.
I think alot of people relied on "natural immunity" because of right-wing anti-vaxx misinformation about the vaccines and about covid itself, or because of "something, something, the Fauci ouchy". Some people have fear of needles. There's all sorts of reasons that people who should have taken the shots did not.
Vaccine hesitancy cost America about 300K lives. You made it through. Congrats.
