I was thinking more along the lines of most of the coastal teams we play in the ACCC game every year (Pitt, VA, Miami, etc), but yeah you are probably right about UGA.

But comparable to playing UGA in Atlanta would be more like playing Clemson in Greenville.
Re the ACCCG, I agree with you. Let's move the next one to Pittsburgh just to make it fair.

After witnessing 6 Clemson losses in the state of Georgia, 3 in Athens, 2 in Atlanta and '79 Peach Bowl, the last being '84 and Kevin Butler"s kick, I dont go to games in GA. So, I look forward to playing them in Charlotte!

All those years we had requirement handicap that gave them a huge advantage. Not the case anymore. It should be a war. Both teams should be very good, and I'm not at all scared that we will have a new QB. He just may be even better than the one we now have. They will be a great opponent, too, as they will get good talent. Should be a war. I live among them, so I see the arrogance most on here don't, but it will be good to play them again. I have zero fear of playing ugay.

LOL- agree! Try listening to Bulldog Roundtable and Atlanta sports radio down here (Clemson alum in Atlanta). They expect to win the Natty every year since they have so many #1 recruiting classes and belong to SEC.

They have devolved to arguably being the worst D1 program playing. We are surely going to take a lot of renewed abuse when people realize they are on the schedule.
It was be far more credible to keep Wyo and drop UConn. Ask Missouri.

Since it won't be SC State, please let it be UConn. Wyoming is no big name but they are definitely a big step up from UConn.

We visit Clemson - and stay a night or two - 5-8 times a year from Atlanta (outside of football weekends). The kids love being there and my wife and I - both alums - get to see a whole new Clemson through their eyes.
Maybe next year we can all make an effort to get back to Clemson and stay for an extra weekend to make up for the lost home game??? Summertime in Clemson is a beautiful thing!

Atlanta stadium, I still considered that location a big advantage for Georgia. And even though Georgia will no doubt fill half of Charlotte, I consider this an advantage for Clemson. When I read the article the other day about the 2021 schedule, I figured we'd probably have to get into one of the kickoff games, but I really like getting in the Charlotte game and vs Georgia is cool.

Stadium itself is fine. Nothing remarkable.
But I’ve always found that there is ample hotel availability. And, many of them are easy walking distance to the stadium. Lots of surrounding bars and restaurants. With a downtown hotel, you should be able to park in the garage and not have to get your car again until you’re ready to leave.

On Atlanta Sports talk radio this morning, the UGA AD said that this game would get lots of viewership because there is no other big SEC game on TV that day!!! LOL
