With Leguernic’s recent struggles and his appearance last night, I think it is pointing to a change being made.

My personal opinion is that BJ Bailey will hold the spot down temporarily, but I have a gut feeling it may end up Talan Bell’s job by the end of the season if he is as good as advertised.

What are y’all’s thoughts?

Are we ever getting Bell or Gillen back? Feels like we’re been hearing “any day now” for their return for weeks.

It seemed like it was Gillen's before he got injured. Bailey should get the nod at least for now. Bell was ranked very highly by D1 and BA so maybe as he gets back to full strength he takes over, unless Bailey is dealing.

Bell is throwing and hopefully will get a shot here next week. It’ll take him a while to get up to volume to be a starter. He still a freshman and hasn’t faced a college batter yet so all of you counting on him to come in and take the reigns may want to chill a bit so your not disappointed if it doesn’t pan out.
I’d keep my eye on Bennett too. He’s still coming back from surgery last year. Once he gets his control down he might get a shot. LHP that’s been up to 94/95 with good off speed.

I do like Bennett a lot. Samol too.

We’ll have to see how things pan out. Good news is that we still have 2 months left in the regular season to figure things out.
