Structural failure rarely happens all at once

Bridges and buildings never fail all at once, years of structural rot lead up to a catastrophic event. This happens to businesses too, CU football is also an example.

What we are seeing today with CU football was years in the making and only those who refused to see are surprised.

There's something in these hills.

Nope, it is a post that says CU football has systemic structural rot. Turning a blind eye to it much like the condo building in Florida only leads to catastrophic failure.

"How did you go bankrupt?" Bill asked. "Two ways," Mike said. "Gradually, and then suddenly".

Yes! My boy Hemingway. We need more quotes from him on Tnet.

I once worked for an old man who owned a helicopter company. I asked him one day how you make a million dollars with helicopter. He replied well son you gotta start with 2 million and hope you turn a profit before the last million runs out.

I saw indications of it back in 2021. Brian on Clemson Football Live (aka Bobby Dirkens) foretold it, and he could even see it a little bit earlier than that. He's one of the most realistic Clemson fans out there and one of my favorite youtubers of the team. Pigskin Peete is another great one who tells everything as it is about the program rather than saying only the good things.

If I had posted here about any issues within the program back in 2021, I'd probably had been called a coot.

There were a lot of posters pointing out the roster management issues in 2021...

...among other things.

We were called any number of things: coot, ungrateful, etc.

But you're right, this was a slow systematic failure on so many levels.

I saw the beginnings of coaching failures in the LSU Naty about the middle of the 3rd qtr. when ETN never touched the ball for the last quarter and a half. That was just dumb. Then, the Ohio State rout the following year told the world that we were on the way down and we surely were. I am afraid the bottom has not been reached yet.

Agree. The OSU rout was, to me, the confirming indicator. It seemed all year that the team lacked the fire of previous teams, but we were winning, so no one said much. Then Dabo - who never whined about anything - whined about the number of games OSU had played. Then OSU showed up with no slogans on their jerseys - Day wouldnt allow it - and pounded us into the dirt; the team quit. All those factors looked, to me, to be very related. The difference between that team and all previous Dabo teams was obvious. And Dabo said that team was his favorite one. So, all teams since have looked just like that one.
