Streeter trying to gaslight Clemson Nation

Wants us to forget how he told us Cade was not ready yet claims Cade is always ready when called upon. What a putz.

Exactly! Now that Klub is the only option, and his fragile QB room has literally fallen apart, he has to say something like this.

And don’t forget he doesn’t regret not playing Cade against the chickens. But in this interview he admits Cade brought a spark and confidence to the offense.

Sometimes I wonder what world some of you live in. Dabo has been doing this a long time. The easiest thing to do is criticize someone. Clemson is going to the Orange bowl. Not what we all wanted but it is what it is. Clemson just won the ACC and alot of people still want to be critical. Windshield mentality. Next! and all that Jazz. Snap out of it people Clemson is in good shape. Go Tigers!!

Stop being so pious. There’s a lot of fans who are thinking “we lost to South Carolina by one point, as poor as we played on special teams and as poorly as our safeties played. DJ was horrible in the game. No one believed Clemson was going to win with him at the helm that day and why not try Cade? He couldn’t have done worse than 27.5% completion rate? Had we won that game we’d be in the playoffs not Ohio state!” No one on here isn’t looking forward to the future but many of us are upset that the coaches gave up a chance to be in the playoffs? If you’re okay with that ace that’s fine but get off your soap box and stop the high and mighty crap because many fans don’t understand what happened against the coots. They felt Cade was ready down a couple scores in the fourth quarter against Syracuse. Thought he was ready in the season opener against Georgia tech? Though he was ready down 21-0, and pinned in the shadows of his own goalposts in a hostile environment in Notre Dame but he doesn’t see the field in the biggest game of the year when DJ was absolutely playing terrified? Cut me a break

Dabo and Streeter messed up not putting Cade in the SCAR game. If he plays, we probably win and we’re in the CFP. Fans have a right to be upset about this mistake and we want Dabo and Streeter to admit their mistakes that cost us the CFP. Of course Clemson is in good shape and the ACC Championship (thanks to Cade) and an Orange Bowl are all great, but these Christian men need to display a little more humility and admit their mistake. That is all we are asking.

Hmm .. was never ready, now ready when he needed to be ready? I wish he’d just quit babbling about it, they look more foolish with every comment. We saw what we saw and know who the starter should have been.

I don't think that we should ignore the possibility that staying with DJ was Dabo's decision and Streeter has been in the position of having to toe the party line - or call out his boss.

This head liner is truly deceiving, Streeter: Klubnik 'brought a spark for sure' to the Clemson offense. Cade Klubnik brought the spark with the same talent that had been smothered all season by Streeter and Dabo!!! When Streeter had the chance to make a change to add a spark to the offense, we got beat by coots ending any chance of breaking a record that was set back in the 1940's of 7 straight, along with ending our chances of winning 41 straight Death Valley. Giving Streeter credit for something good immediately after he chits his pants a week before in the most important game of the season, is the same as fishing without a hook tied to your line and a fish jumped in the boat!!!

Are you the same guys that when Cade has his first bad game (hopefully not a loss) will be writing that dumb Streeter ran off DJU or that Hunter Johnson was the answer all along? Did you expect he and Dabo to say we made a bad decision all season long in keeping DJU as our QB? You know that would never happen; coaches have to make decisions - most of the time good, sometimes bad.

The fans have been “ready” to WIN for about 2 months! Still don’t get why Klub didn’t start every game after Syracuse. But it’s in the past. Let the Klubnick era begin! Can’t remember the last time I was this excited about our offense! The future of Clemson football seems bright!

A spark? C'mon Street, it was a fire. A fire that was missing all season long.
I don't get this guy. If he would just be honest about the mistakes made and own them, the fury from the fans and the media would be extremely less, if not eliminated altogether. Isn't honesty, humility and accountability the example you want to set when trying to develop young men? No regrets about not pulling DJ? I guarantee the players regret it. It sounds like they all like DJ and respect him as a person, but they all want to win and excel on the field. Cade was a spark? C'mon! He just keeps digging his hole deeper. Is there anyone on this staff that will speak the truth?

Well this shows how smart Streater is. It took him 12 games to see how good Cade is, when everyone in the stands knew it in Syracuse game. What else does he have to wait until 2024 to un derstand our Running backs are good. We have more plays than 4 for DJ.

I lost confidence in Brandon Streeter after the Syracuse game in 2017. That was the game where he thought it would be a good idea to send out an injured KB. The worst part was he kept him in there while it was obvious he was vulnerable (anyone who watched that game knew it was a matter of time given how immobile KB was).
Like this year, everyone saw what was happening, except for Streeter, who has no excuse given how much more information he has than the average fan.
When KB went down he sent out Zerrick Cooper because “he gave us the best chance to win”. Well we didn’t win. Everyone was left wondering why we didn’t try Hunter Johnson, specially after we had just used him previously against Wake Forest.
The worst part of all this is the next week Streeter promoted Johnson to second team (I believe it was on Monday, four days after the Syracuse game). Not sure if he thought he could pull a fast one or if he thought the fans wouldn’t notice what he did there. It was at that point I realized he is a low IQ guy. Watching him this year, I see that he thinks he’s a high IQ guy.

Does anybody doubt that Joe Brady would have put Cade in this year from the git-go? But first, Brady would have worked with Cade in the last offseason, just as he did with LSU’s Joe Burrow, when Brady was hired away from his job coaching Drew Brees for the Saints. Now Brady is coaching Josh Allen, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL (and Burrow, meanwhile, has been to a Superbowl). We will never get Brady now to replace Streeter as OC, but we could have when he left the Panthers a couple of years ago. Clemson needs to hire coordinators who have significant experience with teams other than Clemson.

Holy cow, i looked back at replay of game and when Klubnik came in there was consistency in the offense and every one on offense and the defense picked it up. How in the world did i miss that during the live game. Naturally i am being facetious. Any real truth speak should be "we were wrong and admit it". Truth will get respect.

It's because Klubnik isn't bad. DJU finished last season not even ranked in the top 150 in the nation in raw qbr. This year DJ barely finished in the top 70. DJ is just awful. He can't read or anticipate and can just throw to receivers late that have already been wide open for many seconds. I dont see how he was ever a 5 star QB.
