Brent should say that the AD has already made a statement and moved on. Why shouldn’t Briles support his Son in Law. It’s not like he is affiliated with the team in any way other than a family member coaches. Briles has been blackballed from coaching and is already suffering the consequences of his actions or inactions while at Baylor.
If a players father was a drug dealer, rapist or killer then served prison time. It would be a human interest story for the media to talk about how the player was reunited with his rehabilitated Father.
I don’t get the passion some folks have about Art Briles. Particularly if some of the backlash was from Sooner fans. Does Joe Mixon punching a girl ring a bell.

The Gundy situation was awful. Brent V was Brand New and there was tremendous Pressure from above. Gundy realized It and resigned. Ththat was a 2022 Societal Woke Resignation.

The folks in OK need to wake up and smell the coffee. Art Briles was totally vindicated by the courts and the University Board and Baylor had to reimburse him over 6 million dollars.

Briles got off from NCAA punishment in a similar fashion as UNC with the academic scandal. They couldn't prove it was an issue limited to only the football program.
"In the end, the NCAA determined that non-reporting of assault occurred throughout the entire campus, not just in the football program, and was thus not deemed an improper benefit."
I don't have a problem with Briles being with his family on the field at OU, but I would not agree that Briles was vindicated or made the scapegoat.

Never publicly apologized? ### would he apologize to u? When the heck did it get written you must publicly apologize for any #### thing? Must of been when folks started getting tried in the court of public opinion which he was. Grow a pair and quit worrying about someone apologizing to you, there’s enough men sitting down when they pee nowadays, no need to follow
