Something I noticed on Nate Wiggins Pick 6

Their TE, the intended receiver stepped out of bounds and came back in. This would make him ineligible to catch the ball. I wonder if Drake Mayes hadn’t thrown a bad throw and they scored to turn the game around, would the refs have missed it or even worse would they have to courage to make that call?
Not sure what ref procedure is but isn’t he supposed to throw hat down thus signifying ineligible receiver or is that in the NFL.

I missed their TE coming back on the field after he got out of bounds.

Did he get pushed out? If so, then I think he can return the field.

Maye's pass was so bad that I wondered if a 'scrambling QB' route for a WR wasn't taught to the WRs. Maybe UNC's coaches don't put in the effort to teach WRs and QBs how to be in sync for 'scrambling' route.

UNC's coaching staff is renown for their great recruiting; they have also earned a reputation for not being much at the actual coaching thingy.

Or that or was coming his way

Looked like a good throw
Receiver didn’t even lift his arms up or attempt a catch
Maybe a saw wrong

I noticed the blond UNC Karen doing a double neck-pop after the pick-six.

Also loved watching Tyler Davis chase Mayes and then block him for Wiggins’ run.

Eligible receivers at the snap remain eligible throughout the down. He appears to have gone out on his own. If he comes back in and participates it can be illegal participation. He didn’t touch the ball. I also believe it was missed being out of bounds.
