Something Extra All of Us Can Think About this Thanksgiving

As we approach another SC/CU game, I am reminded the older I get of those who pass from last year's game that were fans.

Embarrassed to say I hadn't spoken to either in a long while, but Clemson fans that aren't with us include my cousin Kennedy, my adopted "mom"and Carolina fan Carroll Higgenbottom (traveled in 1985 to FSU on a bus with him and a few others). Jut Fulmer grew up on Marison Street with my daddy and was a SC grad too and passed last November. Wish my memory and brain was better, but in the trash talk remember those who loved this game and their family.

Kennedy was diagnosed with a brain tumor while at Clemson in early 80's studying to be doctor.

Not trying to be a downer, just another way to remember friends and family regardless of their allegiance.

Family, like I said my uncle is a Clemson grad and my daddy is a SC grad. Pretty impressive since there weren't a whole lot of folks going to college in the 1950's.

Folks here, other SC fan boards, message boards, etc. in general don't understand what is important until it happens to you.

My mother died 11/11/11 (day before we played Florida @ home) and I was excited just as many of us are now, but reality sets in when you are picking out caskets and planning the funeral service.
