Vandy does not really try to be good at sports. Much like CU basketball from a historical perspective. Luckily Neff has stepped up the support and we are seeing the results

Zero college head coaching experience, And to my knowledge, no ties to Vanderbilt. He had been an NBA assistant as well as a head coach in the G league, but only a few years of experience coaching overall. I’m not surprised that he hasn’t set the world on fire there.

Vandy is to the SEC what the Miami Marlins are to MLB or the Redskins to the NFL. They're just there for the checks. The SEC would trade them for us, UNC, FSU or Miami tomorrow.
