Some of the talk from the FSU BOT chair was about shrinking

stadium capacity at FSU with lots of new chair back seating. Possibly down to 70K? This seems to be the trend going forward in CFB as attendance drops. Will Death Valley ever get mainly chair back seating? No more metal bleachers.

This seems to be the trend in a lot of sports. A lot of MLB stadiums are taking out seats and adding drinking rails.

I would love to see Clemson add orange stadium seats and do away with the bleachers. I know this would decrease capacity but, except for a few games a year, we normally aren't at capacity anyway.

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Expect any such consideration to wait on conference fallout. Join the SEC or B1G and there will be more games like FSU or ND where the opposing team actually uses its allotment and more Clemson fans show up.

Yes.Tennessee just did that in a section of their upper deck with an open party area with the drink rails.

Also, I'm thinking Orange seats could be more costly over time as Orange fades really bad unless they found some that would not fade. Please no dark Green like Doug Kingsmore as we don't want to look like Miami. Maybe a dark purple.

That is not a problem. Clemson will just add a roof…..

I have expressed my concerns over this matter many times with the “powers that be” and I do not see this happening.

The demand for better seating is huge and they are not going to eliminate any seats!

This is the only bad thing that I see with Tiger football that has no answer.

while this sounds good in a few years your orange seats look almost pink on tv like baseball did. Thant is not a good look

Yes. Louisville's red faded to pink and they had to be restored. I just don't like the green at the baseball stadium. The dark purple at the softball stadium is sharp! Wish DKS had the purple too.

Yes, but I have been to a lot of NFL stadiums and their seats rarely fade to a point where it is extremely noticeable. If they do start to fade it is 15-20 years after they have been in service. I do understand they will fade in time but it is still better than bleachers in my opinion.

This would also help address the “wide bottom” issue

As for capacity, if needed, there’s room to expand the stadium. Maybe have sections of seating marketed as “Premier Comfort” seating; wider of course. Just spitballin’ here.

This has been considered/discussed at Clemson as well***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
