The aerial shots from the helicopter on the video board were awesome. Especially around sunset. The field and the surrounding parts of campus looked fantastic from that perspective.

The video from the cockpit of the fighter jet that was shown on the video board during the flyover was electrifying.

The halftime military appreciation ceremony was riveting as usual. My brother in law is a retired Army Colonel and this was the second time he has attended the military appreciation day game. His comment this morning was he was in awe of how 80,000 people can be that quiet and reverent for the ceremony. It is a moving experience.

The pep band moving around the stadium and popping up in the portals to play Tiger Rag is always fun.

The crowd was larger than I expected. Really thought there would be bigger empty sections in the upper corners. Volume was lacking, but it was the Citadel. I think a lot of folks were saving their voices for the coot game. I know I was.

All in all, a fun day and great experience. Now on to the coots….

I was impressed with the broadcast. Actually thought it was overall better than ESUCKPN.

I usually record the game to watch later but forgot to yesterday. It seemed like there were a lot less 3 + minute timeouts that most games (meant to include that in the original post and forgot). I was wondering if it was even televised.

At the Duke game years ago and will never forget hearing the people ordering at the concession stands behind us since it was so quiet during the ceremony in the stands.

I wholeheartedly agree. This was the only game I have attended this year and it was great. I think Military Appreciation Day is by far my favorite.
