Doing less with more for YEARS now. You think the AD, etc. are lengthening Day’s leash after another loss to Michigan and failure to make the B1G championship? Not so fast…

This will be five of his six years as a head coach he has finished in the top 5.

He’s one of the best coaches in the game today.

Thats a bassakwards way to look at it

Actually, this only proves the old system would NOT have allowed the best team in the country to make the 4-team playoff. Your post should have read “it took a 12 team playoff to get the best team in America to the championship game.”

Not sure how that negates them being the best team in the country at the end of the year.

Not true. If using the old system, they definitely would have been on of the four teams competing. They certainly would have been ahead of Boise State and Arizona State.

Stop the hate, Day is one of the best in the business. If he wins tonight he deserves it. Great coaching staff and excellent talent.

Day is a whining baby and flops every year

Those are the facts.

He finally wins a championship once paying players is allowed.

Dodgers Robert’s ain’t a great coach—he’s literally babysitting superstars. Day is just the JV version of that. I wouldn’t want him coaching our players for one single second.

because he only won with the likes of Deshaun Watson, Trevor Lawrence, Mike Williams, Christian Wilkins, Clelin Ferrell, Dexter Lawrence, and AJ Terrell.

See how dumb that sounds?

Isn't that what you have implied in the past?

I guess he deserves credit for that, but Chip Kelly + Jim Knowles + Brian Hartline is an insane collection of assistants.

He has won nearly 90% of his games as a head coach.

He has finished in the top 10 in all six of his seasons as a head coach.

He is on his way to a national championship.

Questioning his coaching ability is ludicrous.

Maybe there is something to hiring experienced, talented, and highly qualified assistants.
