If you were the Big12, who would you add to make 16?

You have 10 already. Which other 6 would you add to complete your picture?
For me, I would try and go east as much as possible considering the WVU trend. I would add the following:
FSU GT Clemson UNC VT Notre Dame
Add Iowa State and WVU to that mix and that would make a pretty sweet "East" division. The current members would make the "West".
Check out the map attached for geography purposes.

Hell yes I would! I despise UNC and wouldn't want any school associated with Swofford near Clemson anymore. Notre Dame? Irrelevant washed up ancient football program.

If us and FSU are in as speculated, that leaves 4 spots

Here's a guess at how the 4 super conferences shake out at 16 teams. Big 12 adds Notre Dame, Maryland(DC TV), Syracuse(NY TV) and Miami. Big 10 adds NC, Duke, UVA and Georgia Tech. SEC adds NC State and VaTech. PAC12 adds BYU, Houston(Texas TV), Boise St, and UNLV. San Diego St could also be a possibility. Everyone else is hung out to dry

I doubt this is about TV markets anymore. ESPN/ABC is the main carrier for college football anymore along with CBS. Tey cover the whole country so America is just one big TV market anymore. Why water down your product?

Maryland and Syracuse bring huge TV markets. that's bargaining power for ad dollars. You really think Mizzou helps the SEC's football prestige. No, they bring KC and St. Louis TV markets

There was something on a FSU board about the

TV ratings of each ACC team for 2011. Clemson was second to FSU (okay it was an FSU message board so I know it might be slightly skewed), but Clemson's TV ratings were higher than MD, BC, Wake and Duke combined. Kind of shot the whole northeast TV market thought done the tube. Northeast does not care about college football.

Syracuse has been relevant in the last 20 years. If they are good, people watch. And Syracuse is the college team of NYC. Ad sales are about potential viewership.

Misery brings neither the ST. Louis or KC, market. Illinois controls St. Louis and Kansas controls the KC market. The Big12 is glad to see Misery go to SEC. They were the ones that got everything started.

Let them swim in the aftermath of running the ACC into the ground in regards to football. They deserve to be left behind when college football evolves.

I add Notre Dame, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson North Carolina, Maryland.
That's purely a wishlist, and doesn't tap the northeast markets, but they're by and large professional sports fans and more apt to identify as consumers with the Big10, so that was where I would draw the line if it were my business decision.

primarily because they declined an offer from the Big XII a year ago and because of their policy of not playing games of any kind on Sundays.
