NC State against ECU?

UVA against Richmond? (For TE's sake, I sure hope not)

killer" over the years that I wouldn't be that shocked to see them down the Wuffies, who are probably reading their own press clippings.
App State over UNC would be an upset, but not earth shaking, as App State has upset giants as well, and UNC is hardly that.
The Richmond Spiders have stung UVA in the past too, but, as you said, for Tony's sake, hope it doesn't happen today!
If I had to pick one for the upset, it would probably be App State over UNC. The Tarholes didn't impress anybody the first time out, and Chase Brice has two whole college careers worth of experience, seems like. It only SEEMED like Hunter Renfrow played forever, Chase Brice really has!

The media will look at any of those games as an embarrassment to the conference.
I don't think UNC losing to Appy St would be an embarrassment to anybody but UNC.
Rutgers is favored over BC, so that wouldn't be an embarrassment.
If NCSU loses to ECU that should embarrass NCSU.
And, if UVA loses to Richmond, that would be an embarrassment.
I don't worry too much about conferences being embarrassed. So what if Clemson goes 15-0 and wins the national championship and no other ACC teams finish with 8 wins? What difference does it make?

if there are several other teams in the conference doing well...it shouldn't be hard to grasp that!
That said, it won't bother me if App State beats the Holes, but I do hope the others win!

Rutgers is not favored over BC. BC is a 7.5 point favorite, and that was before Rutgers' starting QB went down.

I think all of those teams could lose (it's the ACC so watch them all lose), but I don't think any will.
App State is the favorite and they've downed P5 teams with regularity. But UNC has more talent than people give them credit for and there's a gap there. I think with the early prep time, the Heels win. I could easily see Richmond beating UVA. Richmond has been sneaky good in the past and beaten them, and I don't see much talent on the UVA roster (ignoring that I also am not a believer in TE). But I do think there is still a small talent gap that should carry them through the game.
ECU could surprise NC State, but I doubt it. They'll be a really good team this year and are one of our scarier opponents. Rutgers has been solid, but they'd be the biggest surprise for me. Their starting QB is injured and Jurkovec is a good quarterback.

NCST will lose but they will come back strong and be ranked after beating Clemson. UNC will lose also but they too will come back strong mid season.
What people don't realize is that the ACC reaches it's peak just after mid season then they digress again for bowl season.
