So who do you think will be the starting RB next season?

Nov 9, 2013, 2:43 PM

I think Dye.

Nothing but a wild guess, but based on who is coming back,

Nov 9, 2013, 2:46 PM

plus my perception of coaches ramblings this preseason, I'd say Dye, at least at some point, and assuming he is healthy.

I forgot about Choice. His brother was terrific at GT

I believe it will be Dye

Nov 9, 2013, 3:08 PM

The impression I get is that our coaches thought Dye might have had a similar impact to Todd Gurley if he'd been healthy this season.

That's what our offense needs desperately and if that's even close to true, then Dye will be the starter next year.

This might surprise you

Nov 9, 2013, 3:10 PM

But I think CJ Davidson is the best of the RBs I've seen. His pad level and vision seem better although he is just learning to play at this level. I can't speculate on Dye or Gallman as I have not seen them play.

I agree, the little time he's played he has found holes and creases and turned 5 yd runs into 15 yd runs.

I think Davidson has looked good too.

It is Dye by daylight

Nov 9, 2013, 3:12 PM

I really like this kid. He is explosive has incredible balance and has weight behind his pads.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Zac Brooks will start

Nov 9, 2013, 3:16 PM

Dye will be a goal line type back. Brooks will be more of a bruiser after a year of conditioning.

Brooks, Dye, Choice

Nov 9, 2013, 3:22 PM

Will be the 3 deep

Back injuries scare me...

Nov 9, 2013, 3:53 PM

surely Dye has lost some weight. Can he squat? Deadlift?
Is it chronic? Genetic?

Due to my own history of lower back problems, I'm going with 1. Brooks 2. Davidson.

Wondering if Dye might be a year away.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brooks will be our 3rd down back

Nov 9, 2013, 3:25 PM

And maybe see more work between the 20s. But if Dye comes off the injury well he will be our workhorse and nobody but the people that we play will be crying.
