We have been awful at free throws for at least a decade now. I just don't understand what our basketball facility has to do with our ft%.

Caused by the fact that they do not have a "routine" before shooting them. Very similar to a pre-shot routine in golf. After you learned and practiced it =---when under pressure you concern trade on executing the pre shot routine and the shot follows. A few hours of coaching would get them all on the right track then the practice would seal the deal to improvement.
